"Hey, Addie. Where are you?" the blonde heard Stiles' voice through her phone as she walked up the creaky and broken stairs carefully. "Deaton called me, he needed my help. Why? What's wrong?" Adele worried as she paused on the porch of the burnt Hale home. "Find Derek, bring him to the station." Stiles hung up without further explanation. Adele was annoyed with the lack of explanation but sighed and slid her phone back into her pocket. "So why are we meeting here-oh." Adele walked into the home to see a bloody and unconscious Derek in front of Deaton.
"What happened?" Adele moved over to the alpha's side. "And what's that?" Adele furrowed her eyebrows at the whistle that Deaton blew in. "A dog whistle." Deaton looked at the blonde amused, the girl laughing a little. Derek's eyes began fluttering open and Adele quickly noticed the man's return to consciousness. "Derek. Derek, can you hear me?" Adele looked to the alpha concerned. "I need you to answer her, Derek." Deaton watched as the alpha blinked rapidly, trying to clear his vision. "We don't have much time." Deaton looked over at Adele, urging her to keep trying to get his attention.
"That sound, what was it?" Derek grimaced as the whistle still echoed in his ears. "A dog whistle." Adele grinned at the alpha as she now dangled it in her hand. Derek scoffed at the blonde's amusement, making an attempt to stand up. "Woah." Adele quickly stepped forward as Derek's body swayed. "You're going to be weak for several hours." Deaton helped hold the alpha up. Derek looked at his arm and then at the newly made hole in the floor. "It actually happened." Derek starred in a mix of horror and astonishment. "What actually did happen?" Adele was still not filled in on the situation. "Don't worry. You're still an alpha." Deaton chose not to answer Adele yet. "But as usual, not a particularly competent one." Deaton added on causing Adele to let out a small snort of laughter.
"Where is he?" Derek narrowed his eyes at Deaton. "Where is who?" Adele sighed knowing the men would continue to ignore her. "I wish I could tell you." Deaton looked just as irritated with the same person Derek was. "Then how about you tell me what you're doing here." Derek took a threatening step towards Deaton, causing Adele to step in. "And why you're helping me." Derek gave Adele an annoyed look when she pushed him out of Deaton's face. "Helping your family actually used to be a pretty important part of my life." Deaton looked to Adele grateful. "Helping you, was a promise I made to your mother." Deaton deadpanned, clearly annoyed with Derek's behavior. "You're the one my sister talked about." Derek relaxed slightly as he connected information in his head. "She said you're a-some kind of advisor?" Derek was unsure of his memories.
"She was right and I have some advice that you need to listen very closely to right now." Deaton warned seriously. "What Peter managed to do doesn't come without a price. He'll be physically weak, so he'll rely on the strength of his intelligence, his cunning." Deaton's words finally filled in the blanks for Adele. "He's going to come at you Derek. He'll try to twist his way inside your head, preying on your insecurities. He'll tell you that he's the only way you can stop Gerard. Do not trust him." Deaton continued to advise Derek about Peter. "I don't trust anyone." Derek deadpanned. "I know. If you did, you might be the alpha you like to think you are." Deaton's comment was aggressive.
"And unfortunately, the one person you should trust doesn't trust you at all." Deaton glanced over at Adele. "Scott." Derek already knew the answer. "He's with Stilinski right now. You need to find him, you need to find him as fast as you can." Deaton looked over at Adele, revealing why he originally called her. "I know where they are." Adele nodded at Deaton, confirming she could help. "I've known Gerard for a long time. He always has a plan. And something tells me, it's going exactly the way he wants it to." Deaton gave his final warning.
"So, your psychotic uncle, whose throat you slashed, used Lydia to bring himself back to life?" Adele was shocked as Derek completely filled her in. "Yes." Derek was blunt and annoyed as the pair pulled into the station parking lot. "No wonder you have trust issues." Adele scoffed, getting out of the Camaro. "I don't have trust issues." Derek argued pointedly. "Do you trust me?" Adele tried to prove a point, but Derek simply looked at the girl. Adele took that as a victory, but Derek was already opening the door to the station. Adele pressed the buzzer as they neared the front office. "Come on, Scott." she bounced on the heels of her feet impatiently.
