"What's he doing here?" Scott glared as he opens the Clinic door for Adele, Derek, and Isaac. "I need him." Derek brushed off Scott's complaint as he walked in. "I don't trust him." Scott eyed Isaac suspiciously, Adele rolling her eyes at his dramatics. "Yeah, well, he doesn't trust you either." Isaac was smug with his response. "You know what? And Derek really doesn't care." Derek played into the banter. "Wow." Adele looked between the three werewolves unamused. "Shut up!" Derek glared at the blonde, but Adele could tell he was enjoying the tension.

"Now where's the vet? Is he going to help or not?" Derek turned back to Scott and Isaac took a seat on the receptionist's desk. "That depends." Deaton leaned against the doorframe to the offices. "Your friend Jackson, are we planning to kill him or save him?" Deaton looked to the group for his solution. "Save him." Adele and Scott answered together, Derek and Isaac responded over them with "Kill him. "Hey, don't be a dick!" Adele smacked Isaac upside the head. "Save him." Adele glared at Derek and re-answered the vet. "Save him." Scott confirmed to Deaton as he nodded at Adele's words.

Deaton set a bunch of vials on the operation table, picking one up as Isaac went to do the same. Acting immediately, Adele smacks the boy's hand away. "Watch what you touch." Derek scolded at the same time Adele gave Isaac a scolding look. "Okay, mom and dad." Isaac huffed at the pair, causing Adele to glare at the boy. "So, what are you? Some kind of witch?" Isaac leaned forward to look at the veterinarian. Adele shook her head, Isaac always had a childish attitude but now it seemed cockier. "No, I'm a veterinarian." Deaton gave Isaac's attitude back as he looked through his vials for what he wanted.

"Unfortunately, I don't see anything here that's going to be an effective defense against a paralytic toxin." Deaton failed to find a solution. "We're open to suggestions." Derek looked the man in the eyes. "What about an effective offense?" Isaac hypothesized, hoping for another solution. "We already tried." Scott denied Isaac's idea. "I nearly took its head off, and Argent emptied an entire clip into it. The thing just gets back up." Derek shared with the group. "Has it shown any weaknesses?" Deaton looked further into Isaac's idea. "It can't swim." Adele pointed out, remembering the night at the school. "Does that go for Jackson as well?" Deaton looked at the boy's sister. "No." Adele scoffed at the question. "He's the captain of the swim team." Scott agreed with Adele.

"Essentially you're trying to catch two people." Deaton began explaining, turning to reach into another drawer. "A puppet." Deaton pulled out a coin to show the group. "And a puppeteer." he set the coin down on the counter. "One killed the husband, but the other had to take care of the wife. Do we know why?" Deaton looked to the group for an answer. "I don't think Jackson could do it." Scott glance wearily at Adele. "Our mother died pregnant too, ironically she was possibly murdered too." Adele's words surprised Derek and Isaac.

"You never told me that." Isaac didn't bother hiding his offense, while Derek simply stared at her. "I think he couldn't let the same thing happen to someone else." Scott nodded, agreeing with Adele's suggestion. "How do you know it's not part of the rules?" Isaac recovered from his offense. "The Kanima kills murderers." Isaac pointed out the main rule. "If Jackson kills the wife, then the baby dies too." Adele realized where Isaac was going. "Does that mean your father was a murderer?" Scott looked at Isaac with slight surprise. "Wouldn't surprise me if he was." Isaac answered honestly.

"Hold on. The book says they're bonded, right?" Deaton looked up at Derek with a lead. "What if the fear of water isn't coming from Jackson, but the person controlling him." Deaton suggested when Derek confirmed his question. "What if something that affects the Kanima." Deaton opens the vial of mountain ash. "Also affects its master." Deaton creates a circle of mountain ash around the coin. "Meaning what?" Adele didn't understand his idea. "Meaning we can catch them." Scott realized, catching onto Deaton's idea. "Both of them." he looked at the group.
