Just breathe

I watch as the two Dr's explain to the others what's going on.

There were about 7 other doctors in there. Each one has a concerned look on their face as every word left his lips.

I squinted to try and read every doctors name tag.

𝘿𝙧. 𝘼𝙧𝙞𝙯𝙤𝙣𝙖 𝙍𝙤𝙗𝙗𝙞𝙣𝙨
𝘿𝙧. 𝘾𝙝𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙖 𝙔𝙖𝙣𝙜

I held Zola's hand as her questions began to come out.

"Why does everyone look scared?" Her voice squeaked.

I looked down at the young girl. Her eyebrow was slightly raised.

"They're just worried about your mom, sweetie." I tried to reassure her.

"What's wrong with mommy?" She asked.

"Oh honey nothings wrong with your mommy, she just needs to be a little bit safer right now then she has been that's all!" I explain as I lift the young girl up into my arms.

The other doctors start flooding out of the room.

"Are you an agent?" I hear a women's voice ask from behind me as I set the young girl down for her to go see her parents.

"Yes my names Kara Wild." I say sternly as I turn to see who asked.

It was a shorter woman with short brown hair. She had blue eyes very similar to the ones Doctor Shepherd has.

"I know this is kinda none of my business but if you let anything happen to that family I don't know what I will do." She blurts out. "So just, please. Don't let whatever monster that's out there hurt them."

"We're doing our best..." I glance down at her name tag. "Dr shepherd?" I ask.

"Oh I'm Dereks sister." She smiles.

"And I Merediths." I quickly shoot my eyes at her.

Umm, how is she Merediths and Dereks sister... their married... I think to myself.

"Oh uh no not like that." The doctor quickly laughs. "Meredith and I aren't actual sisters, we just say we are."

I nod. I glance at my watch on my wrist. Hotch said to be back at the station by 2 in time for us to talk about the profile. 1:34.

"Well I probably should get going." I awkwardly smile at her. She continues to stare into the glass room.

"Oh yeah of course. I probably should too." She laughs awkwardly.

I give her a tiny wave as I pull out my phone.

"Reid we need to get back to the station now. Hotch needs to talk to us about the profile." I explain as I step into the elevator.

"I know I'm in the car already."

"Oh jeez I'm sorry." I laugh.

"It's fine we still have half an hour." Reid smiles as I step into the black SUV.

As we walk into the station we notice a couple eyes starring at us.

I don't think anything of it as we head into the open meeting door.

"Hey lovebirds." Morgan jokes.

I roll my eyes. I sit down and direct my eyes at the board. There were multiple people on there I didn't remember seeing on their from the jet here.

"Are those new victims?" I ask in disbelief. There's no way he's killed that many people in such a short amount of time.

"I'm afraid so." I hear Hotch confirm as he steps into the room.

"The messages haven't stopped either. He went from asking for a doctor to threatening the whole team." Derek looks around the room.

"Woah hold on. So he went from wanting Doctor Shepherd to wanting to kill us?" I ask.

His sudden change makes no sense at all. He went from wanting to kill a doctor to wanting to kill several FBI agents.

"We aren't sure of that but that's what it's looking like." Jj sighs.

Great now we have to deal with the doctors and deal with Strauss as we all know she's going to try and take us off this case.

As I step into the bathroom I feel my stomach wrench into knots.

I put my hands on the sink and take a deep breathe. I look up into the mirror and pull out my hair tie.

"You ok?" Jj asks as she opens the door.

"Yeah I'm fine." I tell her as I begin pulling my hair into a messy ponytail.

"You sure? This is a pretty big first case. I mean first we have to deal with guarding a whole hospital and now we're being threatened." Jj doubts as she leans against the wall.

"Yeah I'll be fine. Just a little stressed." I sigh as I pull the hair tie tight.

I can't believe my first case in and I've already been threatened by an unsub. I shake my head.

Just. Breathe.

As I walk out of the bathroom JJ slings her arm over my shoulders.

"It'll be ok. No ones going to get hurt." She tries to comfort me as I smile at her.

Little did JJ know how wrong she would be.
