Blood dripping from the stars... (Alastor x Reader)

Your birthday *ONESHOT*

I was planning to make this around July because it was my birthday that month but I completely lost track of everything so,,,, I apologize. This story is set up in the future when you decide to move in with Al so have fun with this one.

You woke up to the smell of cinnamon as you sat up with a smile on your face. Your eyes had little sparkles and your body was full of energy. You let your feet dangle off the large bed as you slipped on your slippers and dressing gown.

As you made your way down the large hallways, you made eye contact with a very frustrated Husk who looks as if he's about to drop to the floor and pass out. You flashed a smile at him as he held up his hand, making an effort to wave at you. He stumbled into his room and you heard a soft thump as you assumed he fell onto his bed. You had considered looking in to see if he was actually on his bed and not the floor until you decided against it because the last time you did, he got very defensive and started lashing out.

You made your way down the spiralling staircase, every step making a little squeak as some of the floorboards were loose. You jumped over the last two steps then made your way into the grand dining room where Alastor sat with his cup of coffee and a newspaper. You sat down beside him and placed your head on his shoulder as he looked down at you with a soft smile.

"Did you have a good nights sleep, darling?" Alastor asked as he placed his newspaper down and watched you as you nodded your head, your smile returning to your face. You was about to say something as Niffty, Alastor's maid, walked into the room with your breakfast. Her face showed surprise as she didn't think you'd be awake just yet.

"Here is your breakfast, Miss (L/N)." Niffty stated as she placed an English breakfast in front of you.

"Thank you, Niffty. And, you are aware you can just call me (Y/N), right? I won't be mad if you do." You replied as you patted Niffty's shoulder. She nodded in acknowledgement then headed off back into the kitchen to clean up. You gave a closed eyed smile as you took a bite into your breakfast. Alastor glanced at you with happiness in his eyes as he stood up and walked off into the front room, leaving you alone in the dining room. You grabbed your glass of (F/D) that Niffty had also brought you and took a sip. You felt like you were in heaven.

After you had finished your breakfast, you took your plate and glass into the kitchen and washed them to save Niffty the trouble of having alot of jobs. You waddled into the front room where Alastor, Niffty and even Husk were sat on the couch, staring at the door like they were expecting you to walk in. You heard a faint patting sound what you assumed was Alastor patting an empty seat beside him, signalling for you to sit down, as you did.

"Well, dear. I do believe it is a certain someone's birthday." Alastor stated as he picked up a wrapped box off the floor and handed it to you. You read the tag as it said 'This is from one star, to another.' You turned your head to look at Al as he has a smug look on his face. You rolled your eyes as you ripped open the present to reveal (favourite thing). You squealed with joy as you turned around to Alastor and pulled him into a tight hug of which he returned.

"I've always wanted that, how did you know?!" You squealed as you pulled away from the tight hug and stared into Alastor's eyes. He simply shrugged with the smug look still plastered on his face.  You quietly giggled as you planted a kiss on Al's nose before going back to staring at the present.

"Yeah yeah. I'm tired and hung-over so here." Husk grumbled as he passed you two different boxes, both the same size. You looked at him with a small smile as you opened both of the presents he had just gave you. Contained inside the boxes were a silver bracelet and a pearl necklace. You looked back up at Husk who was trying to avoid eye contact until you started to speak.

"Husk, this is really nice. Thank you." You smiled as he turned to look at you. You swore you saw him smile for a second but decided not to say anything about it incase it ruined the moment. You put the jewellery back in their boxes and placed them on top of the present Al got you. Before you could even think about anything else Niffty practically shoved her presents into your hands and sat with a big smile across her face. You smiled and started to open the presents. You held up Niffty's gift with a proud look on your face as you held your arm out for a hug, what she immediately returned. She had knitted you a sweater with your initials on and had added a pair of earrings to it. You placed everything onto the coffee table and sat back in your seat, with Alastor's arm around your waist.

"Dear, tonight we are going to an old friends club to celebrate your birthday. You won't need to worry about anything, I'll pay for everything." Alastor stated as you looked up at him with a gentle smile on your face.
