Laurens POV

I hurried to the corner where i knew i saw her. My mind doesn't play tricks on me, i know it. "camila? camila!" i look around the building, behind walls, in small spaces, everywhere. I leaned against a wall, destined to give up. I tried too hard again, i always do. "lauren," i hear the wind whisper my name. It played as it caught my attention. Like a puppy after its been called by its master. "camila." i call out.

"over here," she tells me. I look to a dark room where she hid. I ran to her quickly, shutting the door, pulling her into a tight hug. "you're alive!" i tell her joyfully as i kissed her hard. "of course i am, i never die. He keeps me alive." "who is he?" "when you're ready." she tells me as she softly caresses my cheeks. "but i am ready. I want to meet him." "you're not ready and you're not worthy yet, darling."

"what happened to you?" i ask her. Camila's hair was a mess, her face seeming to be covered in dirt and her clothes torn and muddy. "they thought i was dead." she says slowly. Then i remembered what Lux has told me. They thought she died, they buried her. Alive. "they buried you alive didnt you?" i ask her. She paused for a while, her eyes glued to the floor.

She must be having bad memory of it. "camila," i place a hand on her shoulder, and in a second she's got a blade to my throat. "don't!" "woah, its just me, camila!" i remind her. She drops her blade and sighs. "i'm sorry i'm so sorry." she tells me, as she hugged me tightly. She then faces me, "prove him you're worthy?" "how?" She bends down and picks up her blade. "kill them."
