(A/N: I know it is only August and so one could say that it was too early for christmas but I drafted bits and pieces of this in July and some movie channels in an attempt lighten everyone's darkened moods because of Covid-19 or as I prefer to refer it as: The year Umbitch broke out of Azkaban.)
Chapter 12: Xmas 1993
It's the day we leave school for Christmas Break and fortunately Harry, Me and Neville don't have to get the Hogwarts express.
"Right Harry, here is your present. Don't open it before Christmas!" Hermione said
"Really 'Mione who do you think I am?" Harry asked playfully which Hermione didn't reply they just kissed. She then handed me and Neville our presents. I then turned to Daphne.
"Remember if your parents aren't happy with us you can always come to my dad's cottage in Hogsmede."
"I know." We embraced and I felt something tickle my head. I glanced up and saw more mistletoe.
"Those bloody twins." Daphne said while trying not to laugh.
"I know." I whispered but we kissed in anyway. Daphne then walked over to Hermione and then they boarded a carriage and the carriage began to move away from Hogwarts. I then looked about.
"Who you looking for?" Ginny asked
"Your twin brothers."
"Oh." Ginny laughed " They ran up to the common room"
"Cheers Gin." I say before running up to the common room Ginny was hot on my heels eager to witness what I shall do to her brothers.
"Ginny you snitched on us!" Fred said in mock hurt.
"Damn right I did after the prank you pulled on me at Halloween. I told you I'd get my revenge."
"Oh dear." They both said
"Damn right! I love a good prank especially since I'm the son of Padfoot. But still I would like to wish my girlfriend a merry christmas and a happy new year without mistletoe appearing above our heads!" I chided the red haired devils even though I knew it would not help.
"We're sorry." They say trying and failing to hide their grin.
"Anyway, Here is your presents off me, Harry and Neville. Guys we'd better get going if we want to get to Dad's cottage and have time to do our homework tonight."
"Why do we have to do it all tonight?"
"So we can have more fun later."
"Ginny can you do me a favour?"
"Sure Leo."
"Could you, Luna and Draco keep an eye on Timothy for me?"
"Of course ."
"Thanks." With that said me, Harry and Neville bid our housemates goodbye and headed to our carriage.
*CHRISTMAS EVE*
There was a knock on the door. Dad answered it.
"Oh Hello Daphne. I'll get him. Leo your girlfriend is here!"
"Hi Daph is everything okay?"
"More than okay."
"Huh?"
"Are you Leo Black-Lupin?"
"Yes sir."
"I'm Carl Greengrass Daphne's father. And since you he made my oldest daughter smile especially when she was really down I decided that it would only be proper for me to invite you and your family to the annual yuletide ball at Wallington Hall in Northumberland. And yes when I say family that includes Harry, your Godfather and The Longbottoms Daphne has told me you think of them as family."
