Bumps in the Road

Chapter 10

*The next day*

Addison's pov:

*10 am*

This is the longest Bryce and I have been able to sleep in a month. And we cherish every single moment of it. I open my eyes to a shirtless Bryce, fast asleep with his arm around my waist. I try and stretch without waking him up but I was unsuccessful. He opens his eyes and smiles at me, nuzzling his head into my shoulder. I comb his hair with my fingers for a while before I eventually get up to make breakfast. 

I whip up some smoothies and nearly finish before I see Bryce coming down the stairs. He comes up to me and gives me a kiss on my head. I smile. "How was your sleep babe?", I ask. "Incredible, the best I've had since yesterday." I laugh and turn back to the blender to finish off our smoothies. "Are you excited for tonight?", he asks. "Excitedly nervous, but mostly excited." He wraps his arms around my waist, kissing me on the cheek. "Careful, save that for tonight." I wink at him and he chuckles heading off towards the patio. We eat breakfast in silence, enjoying the view of LA.

*5 pm."

Bryce's pov:

Addison and I arrive at the party early so we could talk with Dixie and Noah for a bit. They recently got together and just celebrated their 2-month anniversary. Dixie broke up with Griffin after some cheating allegations were thrown around, which turned out to be true. This became many news sources headlines as it was the only thing of interest at that point in time. You can tell just by looking at them that their chemistry is real. 

*6:45 pm*

Everybody has arrived and Addison and I figured now was the right time to tell everyone. Thomas tells everyone to gather out on the Patio/swimming pool area. "First off I would like to say I am elated that everyone could make it tonight. Bryce and Addison have an announcement to share with everyone," says Thomas. Bryce and I step up on the edge of the pool where Thomas was originally standing. "Okay, as you all know Addison and I have been together for a while now. " Bryce starts off saying. I take over by saying, "We even had a child together, unintentionally." That got some laughs from everyone. "What we're trying to say is, Addison and I are engaged," Bryce says. The crowd erupts into cheers and congratulations. The boys come over and pick me up, throwing me in the pool. Everyone jumps in as well and stars splashing and cheering.

*7:30 pm*

Addison's pov:

All the commotion had died down and people had dispersed into their own groups. Bryce, Tayler, Josh, Jaden, Noah, Dixie, Mads, Nessa, Charly (Jordan), and I were all in a group together. We just sat there for hours talking about our lives, the engagement, and everything Bryce and I had missed. I loved hanging out with my friends and I wish I could see them more often. I recruited Dixie to come and help me with the baby for the next week while Bryce was visiting his mom. After the hours had ticked by and Dixie and Noah had separated themselves from the group to make out and cuddle, we decided it was best for us to head home.

We get back to the house and decide to watch a movie before we go to sleep. We watch "The Notebook" and cuddle throughout with some intermittent make-out sessions.  We fall asleep, exhausted from the day we had just had.
