Maggie

"What do you want for your birthday?" Abby asked, sitting down next to Luna.

"Hmm." Luna thought about it for a minute before looking up at Abby, smirking.

"Baby sissy." She smiled, making Abby look up at me. Having a little sister is the last thing I was expecting.

"Why do you want a sister?" I whispered, not knowing how to react.

"Katy has a sissy, and I want one." She shrugged as if it was no big deal.

"Well, then it's settled. Let's talk about who you want at your party."

"Can Tyler and Jake come?"

"Go play." she looked at me, confused, before running off to her room. I groaned, running my hands over my face.

"A baby and your favorite person."

"What am I going to do?"

"Umm, tell him and go for number two." She smirked as I threw my napkin at her.

"I will tell him, and as for number two, that's not happening."

"What are you ladies talking about?" Dylan asked, walking into the house.

"Luna's birthday party." He nodded, leaning in for a kiss.

"Speaking of her, and I have a date to get to." Since the wedding, Dylan has been trying extra hard to get Luna's attention.

"Let me go get her." I made my way to her room, where she is playing with her toys.

"Hey, Dylan is here to take you on a date."

"Where are we going?" I shrugged, grabbing her jacket.

"Don't know, guess it's a surprise." I smiled, fixing her hair. We walked back into the kitchen where Dylan is.

"You look beautiful. Are you ready?"

"Where are we going?"

"It's a surprise." He smiled, helping her put her jacket on.

"Bye, mommy, bye Aunt Abby."

"Bye, munchkin. Have fun."

"Listen to Dylan, okay. Love you, see you later.

"She will be fine. See you in a little bit." I gave them both a kiss before they left.

"So what's really going on with you and Dylan. Even your daughter looks distant. Does a certain someone have anything to do with it?"

As much as I didn't want to admit it, I was pulling away from Dylan. Luna has caught onto it and is starting to distance herself. Now that Tyler is back, she is more interested in him. Jake is also playing a role in her liking Tyler more than Dylan.

"It's like she knows without knowing the whole truth. You saw them together at the wedding."

"What aren't you telling me?"

"Enough about me, what happened with Max?"

Tyler

"I can't believe I let you drag me here." Max groaned, looking around the cabin.

"The girls are off tonight. Gives us time to work on the cabin for a change." I laughed, knowing he is full of shit. He's going to spend most of the night sitting on his ass while I work.

"Whatever you say. I know Jake will appreciate it." I smiled, looking down at Jake. He's good around people, but like me, he would rather be at home.

"Jake!" I heard Luna yell, making a turn to look at her. I looked for her mom only to find the boyfriend.

"Hey, Luna." I smiled down at her as she hugged Jake.

"Hey, Tyler, Uncle Max."

"Luna, come on." Dylan hissed as Luna ignored him. I smiled, knowing she would rather spend time with us.

"Uncle Max and I have a lot of work to do. Go have fun with Dylan."

"Can I come?"

"I don't think your mommy will like that. I promise I will see you again. Aunt Fallen will be home in a couple of days."

"Okay!" She hugged us before turning back over to Jake. Dylan walked closer, grabbing her hand.

"Stay away from Maggie." He hissed, stepping closer so Luna wouldn't hear.

"Are you threatening me?" I hissed.

"Ty, not the place," Max said, making me look down at Luna. She looked scared, and that the last thing I wanted her to feel.

"I want my mommy." She cried, wrapping her arms around Jake. Dylan moved closer only for Jake to growl at him.

"Come on, Luna, I will take you to her." She shook her head as more tears rolled down her face.

"Luna," I whispered, getting down to her level. She looked between Dylan and me, only to run into my arms.

"I got you, sweetheart. She's coming with me, and we will call Maggie." I told him as I looked up to Max for his agreement.

"What about our date?" He said, trying to get her attention only to hide her face in my neck.

"You heard the lady. I already texted Maggie." Max said as I turned the other way with Jake following me.

"I don't have a car seat."

"There's a coffee shop next door." I nodded, following him next door, where we sat down.

"Are you hungry?"

"Can I have a cookie?" She asked as tears filled her eyes again. Maggie will kill me for saying yes. I do not have the heart to tell her no right now.

"Uncle Max will get it." She nodded as I wiped her tears away. Jake rested his head against her thigh, trying to calm her down.

The door opened a few minutes later with a frantic Maggie. Abby followed her as I gestured them over to us.

"Mom's here," I whispered, making her look up at Maggie.

"Mommy."

"Come here, baby." Maggie quickly pulled her into her arms, where Luna cried.

"Will you go see Aunt Abby for a minute? I need to talk to Tyler for a minute."

"Come here, sweet girl. Uncle Max said I could share your cookie." She nodded, going to Abby, leaving me alone with Maggie.

"What happened?"

"Max and I were at the store when she saw us. She ran over to see Jake and give us hugs. I tried to keep it short, telling her we were going to work on the cabin. She wanted to come with us, but I said no. Dylan told me to stay away from you. That's when she got upset. She didn't want to go with him."

"Thank you for taking care of her." I reached over, squeezing her hand. She sighed, looking over at Luna as I held her hand.

"Of course. I would do anything for her." I smiled, looking over to Luna, who is making faces at Max.

"I should go over there." I nodded, following her over to the table, sitting down.

"Are you ready to head home? We can have your favorite for dinner and watch a movie."

"Tyler too?" She asked, hopeful, pulling at my heartstrings. Maggie turned to me, looking for help. As much as I want to spend time with them, Maggie doesn't.

"Uncle Max and I have to get to work. I promise I will see you soon." Abby and Maggie shared a look, making me look at them more closely.

"Maggie." She hissed.

"If your free tomorrow, I think we need to talk."

"Yeah, I'll be at the cabin all day. Whenever your ready, stop by." She nodded as Luna came over, wrapping her arms around me.

"Thank you."
