Tyler
"Wow, Ty, this place is amazing. It's so cozy. Maggie is going to love it." I turned to find my sister smiling.
"Thanks. I've been working on it non stop to get it done for Christmas. My first Christmas back with Mags and the first Christmas with my daughter. I want it to be special, you know."
"No matter where you spend it, it will be special." I nodded, looking around at the lights.
"I'm glad your here and decided to stay." Coming here, I had no intention of staying. At first, Fallen is the only reason I had to come back. Now I have my girls.
"My daughter is here." She nodded, looking over at me, worried. I gestured for her to sit down on the couch.
"And Maggie?"
"Yes, and Mags."
"Good, so when are you going to marry her?" I groaned, shaking my head.
"When the time is right. We've been focused on Luna and everything else. I feel like we don't get much time to get to know each other again."
"There is a fix for that. Luna can spend the night at Aunt Fallen's and Uncle Garrets."
"Thanks, that would be great."
"Of course. Let me get our girl ready while you finish up here. Anything in mind you want to do tonight?"
"She's been wanting to go to the movies. So dinner and movies sound good."
"All right, I can work with that. I will text you later. Love you."
"Thank you, and love you too, sis."
Tyler, baby, I'm right here. I read Maggie's' lips but couldn't hear her voice.
"Rollins." Tanner stood where Maggie just was.
"Tyler." I heard again, but Tanner was still standing in front of me. Jake came running, jumping into Tanner's arms. The only difference Jake was a lot smaller.
"Hey buddy, I've missed you."
"Jake," I whispered, making him turn to me.
"You take care of him, Rollins, and those girls, okay."
"Tanner."
"You're going to be okay, Rollins. Thank you for taking care of our boy for me."
"I'm sorry."
"It wasn't your fault." I nodded as Jake ran over to me.
"Hey, how are you feeling?" I opened my eyes, finding Maggie sitting next to me. Jake was curled up at the end of my bed, taking up most of the space.
"Better. What happened?"
"You slipt on the ladder and broke your leg. You hit your head, so they want to monitor you overnight. Max found you laying on the ground."
"Luna?"
"She's with your sister." I nodded, reaching to pull her into my arms.
"I'm sorry about tonight. I wanted to take you out, just us." She leaned up, pressing her lips to mine.
"I'm not going anywhere. Food and clothes can be delivered to us."
"You're amazing; you know that."
"I do. Let's call your sister and give her an update. I'll text Abby what is going on."
"Hey, how is everything?" Fallen answered.
"Good, he's awake now. What's Luna up to?" Maggie made herself more comfortable as we waited for Luna.
"Daddy!"
"Hey, baby girl, are you having fun?"
"Yeah, where are you?"
"I hurt my leg, so mommy is staying at the hospital tonight with me."
"I come to see you."
"Tomorrow, honey."
"Daddy needs a look of rest so he can see you tomorrow."
"Okay, Love you, daddy and mommy."
"We love you too, now be a good girl, okay."
After talking to Luna, Abby and Max came to drop off some things. Maggie came out of the bathroom wearing my pajama's making me smile.
"What?" She blushed, sitting on the edge of my bed.
"You look beautiful." I smiled, pulling her into my arms kissing her temple.
"I know this isn't what you planned, but I'm happy just being curled up in your arms." She pressed her forehead to mine, making me sigh.
"I love you."
"I love you too. Now let's get this date started." She pecked my lips before pulling me against her chest. I turned my head against her chest, sighing.
"A guy could get used to this."
"Tyler." She groaned as I kissed my way up her chest.
"You know I used to dream of this."
"What, my boobs?" She laughed, making me smile.
"Yes, but no. Holding you, being close to you. I did picture this a little differently, though. You would be holding our baby." She ran her fingers through my hair, making me look up at her.
"You will get your chance to experience it. I used to dream of that too, and sometimes it still feels surreal."
"Tell me what it was going through your head that day."
"Not going to lie, I was swearing up a storm about you. In my defense, I was in a lot of pain. Your sister and Abby were with me the whole time. Finally, she was born, and the pain went away. She was so small and perfect."
"I wish I could have been there." She nodded, wiping her tears away.
"Me too, but you will next time. Fallen took a video. We will have to ask her about it." I nodded, resting my head back against her chest.
A knock on the door made me pull away from Maggie's chest.
"How are you feeling, Mr. Rollins?" The nursed as I realized the throbbing in my leg.
"Little sore."
"Okay, I'm going to update your meds a little. Let me know if it's any worse. Everything else okay?"
"Yes, Thank you." She nodded, leaving the room. I moved to Maggie so she could rest her head against my chest. Jake had thankfully moved to make himself comfortable in the chair.
"You're sure you're okay?" Maggie asked, looking me over, worried.
"Never better." I smiled, kissing the top of her head. She curled back into my side, making patterns on my chest. I took her hand in mine, entwining our fingers.
Tonight didn't go as planned, but we still get to spend time together. I had my beautiful girl curled in my arms as we watched one of her favorite Christmas movies.
"I love you," I whispered, giving her another squeeze.
"I love you too."
