Chapter 8: 1/2

JENNIE POV.
I ran as fast as i can. I want to go home to Taehyung. Even though i am just escaped Sebastian's grasp, i feel incredibly happy.

I feel free.

I feel like a heavy load on my chest has been lifted.

But when i think to Jeonghan, i can't help but to feel sad. I'm sure that he'll get punished for that. He sacrificed himself for my freedom. That hurts my heart a lot.

'I'm forever grateful for you Jeonghan. I'll never forget you.'

Now that i am finally escaped in one piece, i need to leave this place. I'll start a new life with Taehyung. And i can't wait for that to happen. That puts a smile on my face as i run faster. I found a package in front of my door. I pick it up while panting. I let out a happy sigh when i saw that it's the fake ID's and documents i asked.

I hug the package on my chest while saying thank you mentally. My heart is racing as i reach towards the doorknob.

'I'm finally seeing him again.'

Even though i am gone for couple of hours, i miss Taehyung so much. I didn't waste any time to open the door.

"Taehyung!!"

I saw him sitting down on my bed with his head low, holding the freesia i brought earlier. When he heard my voice, he slowly lifts his head.

"Jennie...?"

He whispered. I can see his tearstained faces glows up.

"Y-you're finally here? Is this a dream?"

His voice shakes with relief and excitement. I purse my lips first before breaking in a smile.

"I'll promised you, Taehyung. I'll come back for you."

With a blink, Taehyung hugs me, lifting me a little. He buries his face on the crook of my neck. I can hear his muffled whimpers as i hug him back.

"You're here..."

He hugs me even tighter as if comfirming i'm really here in his arms.

"I...I thought i was going to lose you. I was starting to regret making you leave without spending the day with you. I was so scared."

"Shh, I'm here now. Everything is all right. Everything will be alright."

I can feel his heart racing with mine. I pat his back comfortingly. My touch is enough to calm his down.

"But we need to leave this place."

He loosen his grip on me and i grab his head.

"Let's get our things. We need to leave before they catch us."

"Did you just escaped?"

I nod, remembering Jeonghan's sacrifice.

"Yes...I'll tell you everything later."

I lead him to the bathroom and open the door to the underground passageway. A previous owner of my place built this and am very grateful that he did. I'll find bus station at the end of the path. I help Taehyung in before following him.

It's really dark and i can barely see a thing. I open a flashlight and start to look for something.

"Jennie?"

"Can you hold this for me? I need to put something on this door so they won't know how we got of here."

Taehyung silently obeyed. I made sure that i can't budge the door anymore before continuing my journey down there. I supported Taehyung realizing he left his cane back in my apartmeng and it's too late to get it back now. I hold his hand, my thumb caressing his skin to reassure him. I would cough often since there's lot of dust here.
