You were blind. And D.O was mute. Your 2 got to know each other when your were attending the school for handicaps. You accidentally bumped into D.O one day and became friends, and then a couple 2 years later.
Many people who knew your 2 well were impressed with how well your relationship went even though the 2 of your did not have any verbal comminication. But others were just convinced that a relationship with no communication would have a break down 1 day. But your 2 just proved them wrong.
True, when your started out as friends, communication was kind of difficult. D.O could only write down his thoughts or do sign language but it was useless as you wont be able to see. And even though you could talk to him,it was a 1 sided conversation. So talking was rather useless too. But over time, your learnt to understand each other even without words, through your own simple language.
A hug from him means " i love you." ; a kiss from you meant "yes." ; a gentle squeeze of your interwined hands meant " I'm okay" and a back hug meant "No. Please dont do that."
With all these simple body languages, your 2 walked down a path together for life.
After all, what are words.... when there's love?
