"If he hurts you, I strangle him. Got it?"

"I agree, but I say we burn him at the stake!"

"Kehehe. I will singlehandedly make this mortal's life a living Hell. All I need is a strand of his hair and a urinary sample. I have one of those items already, so getting the other will be no issue for me!"

I tightened my bowtie and sighed. My siblings never leave me alone. "Maki, I have told you this before, but strangling people is not how you should be showing others your emotions, it sends all kinds of mixed messages. Celestia, you're obsession with witch torturing methods is slowly becoming a concerning trait, maybe you should look into forming a new and safer hobby. And Gundham... I'm utterly terrified, never say that again."

Celeste's expression turns sour. "We are just looking out for you, Taka. Mondo Owada is known to be a dangerous man."

Gundham smirks. "Not as dangerous as I!" I ignore him.

"He is not dangerous, just majorly misunderstood. I do not believe he intends to hurt me."

Maki started stretching. "Here's something to think about: I never intended on getting suspended from school for a fist fight, but then I met Kokichi Ouma. Intentions change."

   I gasped. "You're suspended?!"

   She glared. "Not the point."

After getting over the initial shock of my sister's suspension, I started thinking about the point of what she said. I suppose Mondo could be... violent... but he hasn't shown that side to me for a long time. Could his mean behavior towards me come back? That actually seems more than likely. Maybe this first date was a mistake. I can't go. Tears started forming in my eyes as I collapsed on the couch.

"Fools! You've discouraged him... Was this really our plan?!" Gundham sat next to me on the couch. Before he could say anything, a hamster scurries out of his scarf and onto my shoulder. I pet it with my index finger. "Jum-P seems to like you more than he does me. What a scoundrel." I let out a small laugh as I scoop Jum-P into my hands. It chirps at me.

Celeste sighs. "I suppose I should be hoping for the best, this being your first date and all. I guarantee Mondo will not hurt you."

"But if he does—" Maki interjects.

"Yes, if he does, he is done for." She folds her hands and shows a genuine smile, a rare sight to see from her. "I hope you two have a fun time together tonight."

Maki gives me a nod. "Me too."

I hand Gundham his hamster back, and he puts it on his shoulder, feeding it a sunflower seed. "I sense an unbreakable energy between you too."

I smile and wipe any lingering tears off of my face. "Thank you, guys. I'm feeling really good about thi—"

"You did not let me finish!" Gundham interrupted. "Just in case the energy I was talking about does break, which is unlikely given the strength, please obtain a strand of his hair and bestow it upon me as soon as you possibly can."

I awkwardly laugh. "Does that mean you already have his— you know what? I'm not going to finish that sentence. I would rather not think about that. Anyways!" I take a look at my watch. 6:57. "I'm going to be late— I have to go! Bye! I love you all!"

I ran out the door and hopped right into my car after my rushed goodbye (in hopes it would make me less late), so I was not able to hear my siblings' responses. They would probably be similar to mine.

I really should have offered to pick Mondo up... I'm really messing this up in every way possible.
