IMPERIAL DECREE (1)

The morning arrived soon, Sakura was woken up by a maid and informed that an Imperial Decree had arrived. All members of her family had to go outside and kneel at the big courtyard for the contents to be declared. Sakura immediately dressed herself properly and proceeded outside seeing other members already kneeling down.

The eunuch declared, "According to his Majesty, the Emperor, the marriage between the eldest miss of the Eito family Sakura and Crown Prince Danuja will be annulled and the Palace will compensate the family with this huge loss by granting  the marriage between Ichika the second daughter of the Eito family and the Crown Prince Danuja. Owing to her beauty and martial arts talent she is fit to be the Crown Prince's Consort and shall receive this decree''.

All gaped at Ichika except Sakura as she had expected this. Ichika received the decree, thanking the Emperor for his kindness. Eito's face became ashen upon hearing the decree and he looked at Sakura, however, was not surprised to see Sakura's stoic face as he had already consulted her  about the marriage between her and the Crown Prince.

Though Eito should feel happy about Ichika, he didn't feel so. When he was returning from his trip, he heard rumors about the Crown Prince visiting brothels and hooking up with other women. Well, he will probably take concubines in future, Eito thought. However, he didn't know that Ichika was truly in love with him and wouldn't tolerate other lovers.

The eunuch departed after the announcement and family members congratulated Ichika and expressed their grievances towards Sakura.

Ichika held a smug smile when Sakura approached her, but returned to her graceful manner.

Sakura also congratulated her, however left early. This reaction of hers made Ichika think that she was jealous and its improved Ichika's mood.

Inside the Orchid Pavilion

The reason for Sakura leaving early was not jealousy but hunger. Eating breakfast was her first priority now.

Sakura decided that she would cook for herself today. She used the golden eye skill to detect if any person was nearby. The unknown person was not there, it meant that he was either called back or distracted.

Slowly Sakura opened her palm and chanted a spell, which made her hand glow brightly. The surrounding temperature dropped down and a glacial ring appeared in her hand. It was a ring made of pure ice, but it also contained Sakura's biggest secret.

Sakura was a big foodie and loved cooking as well. She was a five-star chef in her previous life and used to work for a famous hotel. People from all over the world came to the hotel to taste her dishes and considered the cooking praiseworthy.

Sakura soon got bored working in the hotel and resigned, however, she desired to have her own kitchen someday. One day, when Sakura was in the attic of her house, she discovered this glacial ring. It was left by her mother as a birthday present to her. Sakura couldn't find it as it was tossed along with other useless stuff. She immediately was sucked inside the ring as soon as she touched it. There was a huge kitchen inside the ring with various types of utensils. There were also spices, dairy products, vegetables, fruits, oils, wines.

Apart from that there was corn, rice, wheat, lentils and sauces. Seafood and other non-vegetarian things were also present. Sakura was in awe; her dream had come true. Most amazing thing was all the food was fresh and could be used forever, it never used to finish. Sakura caste a spell on the ring claiming its ownership by adding a drop of her blood.
