Darkness was looming over the Orchid Pavilion as Sakura patiently waited for Yua's return. She was alone and bored. It was requested of her to come to the main hall for dinner, by her father, she however, declined the offer stating that she was unwell. She could hear the faint laughter coming from the hall. Everybody was enjoying her father's company except her. Sakura was very good at analyzing people. She didn't want to spoil the mood of her father by attending the dinner in the main hall.
After her mother's death her father reluctantly married a concubine that gave birth to Ichika and Haruto her younger brother. Though the mother- daughter pair loathed her, her younger brother was very innocent. He liked to play with her. Too bad that he was sent to Imperial school for education.
As she waited in her room, Sakura detected the presence of four shadows in her courtyard. She smiled. She really didn't appreciate sneak attacks like what was about to take place.
The wind howled in the background. Sakura sipped on her lemon tea. She waited for the attack, but nothing happened. She was astonished to find her courtyard serene but stinking of fresh blood.
Sakura became tensed. An intruder barged into her territory and she wasn't aware of his or her presence. There were two possibilities. Either the intruder was on the same level as hers or he or she was stronger than her.A stronger enemy instilled a sense of danger in her. However, Sakura also had many tricks up her sleeves.
