"I feel like a boomer."

It was about seven on the following Saturday, and Austin was staring at the phone in his hand, utterly confused. They looked a tad different from his last one, which wasn't nearly as nice as this upgrade.

Beside him, Killian smiled, trying her absolute best to contain her giggles.

"This is funny to you?" Austin grinned too, nudging her with his elbow.

"You just called yourself a boomer," she replied, looking over her shoulder at him. Kill then raised her hand, rubbing his arm, "You'll be fine. It's not that different from the phone you used to have. It's just thinner and has a bigger screen."

"Well that makes it too different."

"Austin."

The pretty pair strode through the Olive Garden parking lot, heading for the front doors. They had done their shopping for the things they may need earlier in the day, and due to Killian's wonderful paychecks and use of overtime, they were able to make a stop and provide Austin with a cell phone and a haircut too.

Austin walked a little bit behind Killian, which allowed him to get a wonderful look at his favorite person.

She was gorgeous ; her hair was curled a little bit, and her makeup and eyeliner were neat and precise. She absolutely worked it in the solid black, off shoulder, romper dress and matching black heels.

Austin could hardly take his eyes off of her.

Kill slowed down, looking down at his open palm. She opened her's, sending him the silent invitation. Of course he took it, and she beamed as his fingers fit perfectly into the spaces between her own.

Of course she was checking him out too. How could she not? There was something about the long-sleeve black shirt with black and white plaid pants, complete with the white shoes that made him an absolute stunner.

They'd agreed to dinner tonight, just for them. Austin had never had a date-night, so this excited him quite a bit.

Austin made a few extra strides to get to the door first, opening it with a goofy smile. "M'lady."

"Aw, thank you!" Kill said, walking through the doorway. "A true gentleman."

The two then stood in the waiting area, their hands clasped tightly. They didn't say much, but that was okay. They'd save it for the table.

As strangers entered the waiting area too, Austin moved to stand behind Kill so that others could have room. He continued to squeeze her hand out of comfort, his blues looking about a bit nervously.

Kill could feel it in his grasp that he was a bit tense. So, in an attempt to distract him, she took a step back, leaning against Austin.

The man happily let go of her hand so that he could wrap his arms around her, pressing his lips gently to the top of her head.

The two had yet to officially kiss, which was quite a thought. Austin wanted to, as did Killian. But they both felt as though there was a better moment to do it. They just weren't sure when that moment was.

Finally, a hostess appeared from around the corner. She approached the little setup, then met Killian and Austin's gaze, "Good evening! Welcome to Olive Garden. How many is it tonight? Just you two?"

"Yes." Kill nodded.

"Fantastic." The hostess lifted up two menus from their holders, then beckoned the couple to follow.

Austin refused to let go of her hand as he did so, his eyes wandering about the establishment. It was so fancy.

"If I may ask, is it date night?" The hostess asked, raising a brow.
