"Reece? Hey it's ok, just breathe" he stared at George as he came closer, worried eyes meeting his own distraught ones as they darted around frantically, hands brought up to his head as he curled into himself.

George's hand suddenly came closer to him and his laboured breathing quickened " no...d-don't..." he quickly retracted his hand, looking slightly panicked before he conceded it with a calm expression.

"Ok. How about you just look at me, ok? Breathe in...and out, that's it." He watched George's hand come up as he took an exaggerated inhale, before bringing it back down and repeating the action a few more times before Reece eventually mimicked him, breaths coming out more calm as the minutes go by.

After a few more excruciating moments, Reece feels his breathing relax slowly, closing his eyes as he listens to his harsh breaths mixed with George soft voice echoing through his ears.

"I-I'm Sorry. You should go back, I'm fine." He whispered, praying that George could hear him from his position a few feet away, patiently sitting against the wall beside him.

"It's alright, I wasn't feeling great sitting in there. Do you want to go back in?"

"No, no I really don't." He shook his head vigorously, letting out a tiny laugh, although they both knew it lacked any humour.

"Ok, Me neither. Do you- do you want to go for a walk?" George looked nervous as he spoke, hands fiddling around as he looked wary " I mean, you probably don't but- that what I do when I- never mind you-"

"Yeah, sure. Why not?" He titled his head across to look at George, the smaller blond smiling from ear to ear, staggering up from the wall and holding an arm out for him to grab. He hesitated for a minute, looking at the hand before grabbing it to pull himself up, slightly wavering as his knees let off a crack.

They walked down the street, silence filling the air as they did, eyes darting to the ground awkwardly.

"Do you normally walk home?" George spoke from beside him, slipping slightly in his steps.

Did he normally walk home? Yeah. Would he let George walk him home? Never.

"Uhm yeah. But I'd rather not go home right now, I just need to clear my head. Do you know any nice places?" George eyes lit up temporarily as he jumped a little in his step, stopping to turn and look at Reece as he spoke.

"Oh! There's this park I go to all the time, it's super pretty, and it's always quiet. I hardly ever see anyone there, so it makes a perfect place to clear your head" Reece felt his lips tug upwards as George spoke, hands flying upwards as he did, excitement shining through despite the fact all he was talking about was a park. Reece has never, ever in his life, been excited about walking through a park. But despite this, he felt himself smile at the thought of walking around a quiet park, sun shining on their faces as George talked about nothing. It was contagious, that was the only reason he would think such things. Yep, the only explanation.

"Ok. Yeah that sounds...nice. I don't really go for walks so I guess this could make a change" George nodded along as they walked, soon finding themselves standing in front of a small entrance, trees and weeds building up around the sign so much so reece couldn't make out the words hiding behind the barricade of thorns and leaves.

"Come on, it's in here" George giggled slightly and Reece only them realised how far behind he was, absently staring at the entrance as if it were some magical portal. He quickly snapped out of it, trailing behind George as they walked along the path, jogging up to him so they walked side by side as the trees transcend above them, making him feel small and insignificant, although that thought would normally scare him, he felt a strange sense of peace as he strolled under them.
