"What?"
The whole firehouse was listening in shock right now. They had heard the news after Gabby put the phone on speaker.
"When they took her vitals, they found out that when we took out the intubation tube, she was breathing on her own. Although her heart was beating. We administered CPR and shocked her and got her heart back.
Gabby, Emilia is alive."
Natalie said from the other side of the phone.
That was all it took for the whole of Firehouse 51 to be rushing out to their vehicles. They sped off to the hospital eager to see Emelia as she had literally just come back from the dead.
When they arrived, Natalie showed them the room she was in. She was asleep, but she was breathing on her own and she was getting better.
Luke was in shock, as he walked over to the bedside and held her hand.
"Did you have to scare like that?"
He laughed
A croaky voice replied
"Well, after your soppy words, I atleast had to pretend to die or else you would of looked stupid."
"Emilia, you're awake?"
Gabby gasped.
"I think so, unless this is heaven"
She laughed
"Well her sense of humour is still intact."
Hermann laughed.
Everyone was relieved as they piled into the room to say hello, but they eventually all left until only Gabby and Matt were left.
"Is Alex coming?"
She asked eagerly, waiting to see the boy she loved so much.
"Emelia, Alex is in the psych ward. He tried to kill himself"
"What! No?"
"Hey it's okay, it's only a three day hold. It's already been two so he's being released tomorrow."
Matt replied as he hugged Emelia tightly.
"This is my fault."
Emilia. sobbed.
"Hey, hey. You cannot think that way. Alex needed help, and now he's getting it. This is not your fault."
So they all sat together, in a tight hug.
They would overcome this.
Just like every time before this.
