Chapter: Four [4]

Regina:

A week has gone by. I'm sitting in the cafeteria with Emma and Analia when I see Owen approach us. "Hey guys! How are you?" Me and Analia reply with a smile "fine what about you?" But Emma just rolled her eyes. Owen and Emma never really got along from the beginning. We sat there in awkward silence and finished our lunch. I finally decided to break the silence when the bell rang for the next class. "I'm gonna get my books from my locker, see you guys in class". We all have algebra next so I get to my locker and pick up the books I will be needing for the rest of the classes I have.

When I enter the class I see Emma and Analia sitting together waiting for me but I don't see Owen. Got a little curious so I ask while taking my seat "where is Owen?" Emma reply's with a cruel look "I don't know and I don't care." She have her arms cross on her chest. "Owen said he need to get something from his locker." I smile and turns to Em. "Em, why do u not like Owen he never was mean to us or you. You never acted like this Em, except the time your sister maya died". When she was about to answer me when we see our teacher enter the classroom. She was 19 when she died she is 3 years older than Em. She was murdered and the murderer till this day is still not caught. Emma and maya was really close, Emma loves maya a lot.

Miss.Marigold, was explaining the lesson when she was interrupted by Owen. He was late to class. "Owen! Why are you late to class?" Owen didn't respond to her, he just looked down with guilt. "Go take you seat. If you repeat this you will have to face the consequences Owen, keep that in mind" miss.marigold warns Owen. After he took his seat and he is ready for class, I silently ask him "why are you actually late to class?" Owen just looks at me and says "its nothing."

I was staring at the clock impatiently waiting for the last class to end when I hear the bell ring. I rush out of the door to get to my locker. I was by my locker when Owen comes by and says "hey gina! Wanna hang after school?" "Yeah sure, pick me up after 30 minutes?" I say putting all my books into the locker. "Yep sure I will be there." I say bye to Owen and go out of  the front gate into the parking lot to see Kyle already in the car waiting for me.

We get home after 15 minutes and I head up stairs.

I throw my bad to the study desk as usual and text Owen my address. I go and try to find something nice to wear before Owen gets here to pick me up. I found a cute red crop top and a pair of black ripped jeans. I quickly change into it and starts doing my makeup. I put on some mascara and and light pink lipstick as usual. I see the clock from corner of my eyes. I realize I only have 5 more minutes before Owen gets here. I start going through my shoes to kind a pair that matches my outfit when I here Owen pull up into the drive way. I found a pair of white snickers that matches my outfit. I rush down stairs and when I open front to to head out, Kyle grabbed my arm and pulled me into the house. I turn to face him. "Where do you think your going?" Kyle asked. "Out with Owen, relax!" I say getting annoyed by the way he is acting right now. "Be careful"
I nod and head out.

Owen was waiting for me in the car and I get in his car while apologizing for making him wait.

We head to nice forest which gives us a nice scenery of a waterfall. He had a nice picnic waiting for us. We eat and talk for an hour and than I was remained that my mum will be home in 10 minutes. So I told Owen that I would love to stay but I have to get home and that my mum  will be home in a few minutes.

We arrived at my home after 20 minutes and I see my mum and dad are already home. I enter my house and my mum and Kyle comes running up to me. "Where have you been honey?" My mum asked worriedly. "I was with Owen mum Im fine." I look at Kyle just to see him roll his eyes at me. "Okay Gina go change your clothes and come, dinner will be ready in a few minutes." In silence, I nod and head up stairs to change. I enter my room and pick up a comfortable clothes to wear and changed quickly. I took my phone out to see I have missed a couple of calls from Kyle and 5 massage from our group chat of Emma and Analia. I open the messages and read through them.

Analia: Gina? Did Owen ask you on a date?
Emma: did he really ask her out?!
Analia: I dont know. Maybe she is still on her date???
Emma: how did you know about that anyways?
Analia: I was heading to her locker to say bye before heading home and I heard them talking not so far away and I decided to ears drop. Oops?
Emma: wow you will never change.lmao

I reply to them with:
You guys are being so stupid, he asked me to hang out after school and I agreed. Why are you both over reacting?

I lock my phone, rolling my eyes, annoyed obviously when I heard my mum calling me from down stairs. I enter the kitchen to see Kyle and dad already seated near the table and mum setting the table. I go and take my seat across from Kyle. While we were having dinner my mother asked how my 'date' with Owen was and I had to correct her that we were just hanging out. Once again Kyle just roll his eyes at me without a word. After dinner I help my mum clean up as usual.

I was on my bed trying to sleep when I hear my phone vibrate. I got a text from an unknown number.

I opened the message which says....
