"Hey sweetheart," He tilted his head and the expanse of his neck was handsomely visible from this angle, as if he was just waiting for someone to mark it.

Holly quirked an eyebrow at the man, the corner of her lips was upturned in pure amusement. Start of her 3rd year and the guy had already started flirting with her. What could she say, badass was today's taste and she simply adored it.

She walked towards Benji, her heels clicking as she moved closer to him. The school uniform that she wore was modified with only one word left to describe it: sexy. And did Benji's eyes caught that or what. Her hand slithered up to his neck and she breathed in his scent. "Hey." A husky voice came out widening the man's grin.

"What d'you say, you and me tonight? At the party." The tan blonde suggested while his hand found its way down her waist. Holly's smirk was more prominent as she pulled away from him.

"Sorry, I'm not free," Holly gave him an ironic smile and walked away, sashaying her hip. Every step she took defined confidence. No wonder she was popular among the boys despite her mean demeanor. Benjamin scratched his head as he stared at her figure getting smaller and smaller until she turned a corner. He was used to rejections but it was fine as long as he found a hot chick by the end of the day. It was Friday for God's sake! He needed to hook up or-

"Why don't you just give up on her?" A voice came from beside and almost startled him. He whipped his head to see Mateo who had stopped to take a glance at him. His uniform was proper as could be and he was holding a book in his hand. "Or are you trying to play games with her? Because it's not working, she's evidently winning."

The blonde snorted and ruffled Mateo's hair. "You're still young, you wouldn't understand this kid." Mateo could smell the strong smell of booze intoxicating his nostrils and he stepped away from the womaniser.

"You drank this morning?!"

Benji shrugged. "I need my energy drink every morning if you haven't noticed. Darn school doesn't let me get a shot," he muttered scornfully and turned to walk away. Mateo shook his head.

"You're gonna die with that one day."

Skye looked somewhat skeptical about this.

She was new in this high school after getting the admission letter when she had finished her boring middle school. The exciting part about this was the wide-ass range of subjects this school offered, and she could pick any! Almost any. The compulsory subjects would never leave, would they?

Gosh she hated English!

For the first day, she was quiet. She was minding her own business as she checked the structure of Colosseum High (which was just an illusion from outside because woah! The latest tech was so inn!) She analysed the students (would she really be able to make the kind of friends she wanted?) She planned out her subjects (including the ones where she'd need to learn about self defense using her weapons). She wasn't magic or mixed, Skye was physical. Therefore she had to take single classes and not double which was a relief.

About friends? Well did luck get her or not, she couldn't tell. There was this girl called Lucy who had been quite some help to her, for which the pink haired girl couldn't be more thankful. Although showing her gratefulness was hard, so she didn't get so lucky in the end.

"Skye, wait!"

Which was why she got another chance it seemed. Evander, whose father was a professor here. Though not a popular one, just... notorious. Courtesy of the elder man the boy knew more about Colosseum High as compared to his peers and hence the prefect badge. Skye noted how two different sides emerged from the young boy: one in full duty mode and the other meek. He was a nice person though, something told her that they would get along great.
