draco's pov
it was a chilly day, and me and blaise were walking around in hogsmede. we had come with angie and james, but she wanted to go look at something and he came with her.
"are you going to the ball?" blaise asks.
"yes."
"with who?"
"angie."
"ooohh. we knew you liked her!"
"shut up! i don't like her! we're going as friends!"
blaise laughs. "sure."
angie's pov
james and i walked down the street in hogsmede. i wanted to go to a store and he decided to come with me.
"are you going to the dance with anyone?" he asks.
"yes. me and draco are going as friends. you?"
"i don't know. i kinda want to ask this boy, but i don't think he'd go with me."
"ooohh james has a crush! who is it?"
"shut up! and why would i tell you?"
"because i'm your best friend."
"fine" he sighs "harry potter."
"ooh, you're going for the boy who lived, are you? i think you should ask him."
" i might. i'm still not sure."
"remember, you can always go with draco and i if you don't."
"no, i wouldn't want to crash your date." he laughs
"shut up." i say.
james's pov
i walk into the gryffindor common room and sit down beside harry. he looks over. "hey james."
"hey harry. how are you?"
"fine. you?"
"i'm alright. so are you going to the ball with anyone?" i ask causally.
"no. are you?"
"nope. but um, what i was wondering... would you like to go to the ball with me?"
"sure." he smiles.
"okay great! uhh... i'll see you."
