3 - The Block Game

Y/N POV

I get home from school at around 3:30pm. I step inside my apartment, closing the door behind me. While I take my shoes off at the door, I also set my bag down on the near chair I have positioned close to the door. I walk over to my bed and flop down on it, checking my phone as I do so. I remember that Nick and I were going to play minecraft today which made me a little happier.

I decided now would be a good time I could text him to ask when we would be playing, after all, I didn't want it to be too incredibly late.

Y/N
Hey! I just thought I'd text to see when you would want to play??

Nick responded almost instantly to the text, in which I smiled at.

Oh hey! I can play whenever. That reminds me, do you have discord?

Y/N
Yeah my discord is Y/D/N (your discord name)

Nick
Alright, cool. I added youuuu, we can play whenever, join my vc when you're ready.

I set my phone down, stood up, walked over to my computer, and sat down. I turned it on and sat down on my chair and went to discord.

I searched the "friend requests" tab for the most recent friend request I had sent to me. I had gotten a friend request from "Sapnap" and so I assumed it to be Nick. I accepted the friend request and went to our chat and got in vc with him.

I quickly put on my headset so I would be able to hear and talk to him.

"Hey!" I said through my mic.

"Hi!! Are you ready to play?" He asked excitedly.

"I mean that's why I'm here right now, is it not?" I joked, and could hear him laugh.

His laugh was more of a giggle which I thought was kinda cute.

"Yeah, I guess so," He started, "Join my minecraft world, I started a new survival world for us." He explained.

"Alright, sounds good!" I said, smiling, even though he couldn't see.

I joined his game and we talked about what we should do.

"Do you want to beat the game or just...build and explore?" He asked me.

"Let's beat the game." I answered.

With that we both left to find necessary supplies like wood, coal, stone, and iron.

It had been about a half hour of us joking around and playing when somebody had joined the game with us.

Dream joined the game

"Hey Nick? Who's Dream?" I asked, taking note of the new person who had joined.

"Oh, he's one of my friends, he must have saw I was in a game and joined. Are you okay with him being here?" Nick asked me.

"Oh yeah, I don't mind! The more the merrier." I laughed.

Dream: who're you playing with?

Sapnap: a friend from class

Dream: ohhh i see...are you guys on vc rn? if it's alright add me

Nick started talking to me again. "Is it okay if he joins our vc, or would it make you uncomfy?" He asked.

I thought for a moment. I wasn't ever really huge for talking to people I don't know, yet at the same time, I'm talking to Nick and I barely know him so what exactly is the harm anyways?

I must have taken a while to think because Nick started talking again, "I can just tell him no if you want?" He said, reassuringly.

"No actually it's fine. He can join." I said as a final answer.

"Okay, as long as you're sure." He said.

With that I heard the sound through my headset of another person joining the vc.

"Hey!" An unfamiliar voice, who I can now identify as Dream, greeted.

"Hey Dream. This is Y/N, Y/N this is Dream, or Clay." Nick introduced.

"Thanks Sapnap, giving out my personal information," Dream started, sounding sarcastic, "Anyways Y/N, it's nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you too." I replied.

"Sapnap, I'm streaming tomorrow night on the SMP, feel free to join." Dream said after a moment.

"Alright, I'll probably show up. I don't know if I'll stream but I guess I'll figure it out." Nick responded.

"You guys stream?" I asked, curiously.

"Yeah, we stream minecraft on twitch. Didn't he tell you?" Dream laughed.

"Obviously not. What? Do you guys have a following then or?" I asked, wanting to continue this conversation.

"You could say that." Nick told me.

"I'd say you could join us, Y/N, but I don't know you well enough to let you on the SMP just yet, sorry." Dream apologized.

"Just yet?" Nick asked.

"Yeah, why not." Dream laughed.

I smiled a bit and said that it was alright that I wasn't on the SMP.

After more talking with Nick and Dream, it had gotten really late. Tomorrow was the last day of school since I wouldn't be taking summer classes.

"Nick are you taking summer classes?" I asked, curiously.

"I didn't plan on it. Are you?" He asked me in return.

"No, I'm not. That's why I asked." I laughed.

We continued playing the game and laughing until Dream had to go and Nick and I continued playing for 10-15 more minutes.

"Hey I think I'm gonna get off of here for the night. But we're playing again soon. We still have to beat the game. We should've done it as a speed-run." He laughed.

I laughed with him and after saying our goodbyes we both went offline and I walked over to my bed, flopping down, and almost immediately drifting off to sleep.
