Q: If You Had A Horse With A Bad Back Would You Ride It Knowing That You Could Possibly Damage It More and Cause More Pain? Or Would You Choose Not To Ride and Do Ground Work and Stuff Where You Are Not One It's Back?
A: Hopefully everyone knows the answer to this question... I would never even consider riding a horse whom is injured especially if there is a possibility of injuring it further; that's inhumane.
When horses reach there retirment ages or begin developping injuries/bad backs I believe it's time to let the horse rest. Lots of pasture time with lots of pasture mates for company and some simple ground/flat work to keep them active anything to make sure they're well rested and taken care of.
