People Like Us Part III [MxFxM]

Author's Note: Discontinuation

As you might have read in the description, this chapter is not a story chapter.

After some discussion and decision-making between myself and my co-author, Rosserie, we have decided to stop writing People Like Us. To anyone who's been very patiently waiting for the next update, I do sincerely apologize to you guys that I won't be putting out any more of this story.

The reason for the discontinuation is that we've been writing this series for years, over ten years now, and we have a whole re-write planned to fix and change things that we didn't like in this version of the story, but we initially wanted to finish out the last two books we had planned, this one included. Since we'd already posted so much of the story, it didn't feel right to just scrap it and start all over again, more or less in the middle of everything. 

That being said, while writing this series over the years, we've had to take a lot of breaks. We've had a lot of things going on, Rosserie was trying to graduate from college, I was working a full-time job while figuring out my own personal health, and we had several long spans of time where we just couldn't write together. Unfortunately, for me, the longer I don't work on something, the harder it is to push myself back into it.

Trying to get back into this book, and the last couple we've been trying to do, has been very hard on us mentally. I cannot jump back into writing after a certain amount of time away from the project, it's sort of like my brain can't connect what I wrote before to what I'm writing now, which makes things very difficult sometimes. Usually these books don't end up being published, because I know I won't be able to finish them. But unfortunately that was not the case for this book, which I do again apologize for.

I know a lot of people have been keeping up with us over the years and have been waiting very nicely while we finish up the series, and right now that just isn't going to happen. We are still working on the rewrite, we are not abandoning the series completely. It'll take us some time, but we do plan to start working on the rewritten version, which will go up on our joint account with whatever other projects we plan to do.

I want to thank you guys so much for your patience, and even more so for your understanding. This was a difficult thing for us to admit, but in the long run it's better to end the series here than to force ourselves to finish it. I plan to keep everyone updated on how the rewrite is going, and once we start posting we hope to get those books out pretty quickly.
