High school was hard no matter who you were, it doesn't matter if you were popular or not and Newt was no exception. He didn't think that he would be in a situation where two boys wanted him; he didn't even think one would like him. Tonight at the dance, he had a decision to make but his mind was already made up; he knew who he wanted.

Newt was staring at Minho during lunch again. Watching as Minho said something that made Thomas laugh. Newt took the first bite of his food. Just as he was going to look back at Minho, Gally and Frypan start talking to him. With the sound of Thomas and Teresa arguing in the background, Newt started talking to them while eating his lunch and before he knew it, the bell to go to class was ringing. He sighed as he got up with his backpack to throw away his lunch. Minho caught up to Newt and the pair made their way to the same class.

Neither of them knew what was going on in math class other than it was insufferable. It might've been better if they sat next to each other but they sat on opposite sides of the room. The teacher dragged the lecture on and on, every question by a student was explained in great detail. The bell to go to last period could not ring fast enough. The whole class was just itching to leave, everybody doing something to get the excitement out. The tapping of pencils, and legs bouncing a hundred miles an hour. The bell rings. All the students feel as if they set a record with how fast they gather their things, each one racing out the door.

"See you later, Newt,"

"See you, Minho," Newt rushes before the two head off in separate directions.

Newt had biology for his last class; he didn't hate it but it wasn't exactly his favorite class. The thing that made it better though, is that they got to pick their seats so him and Gally sit next to each other. The two sat there as the teacher went over what they would be doing that day. The teacher handed out the papers, and the class all did their own thing.

Gally and Newt worked on the assignment while also thinking up something that their friend group could do this weekend. They eventually had the idea that they should go roller skating. They were sure that everyone would be down for that so they sent the idea to the group chat. Each of them replied that they would be there. They finished their assignments first, that meant that they could have free time. Newt pulled out his phone and asked if Minho still needed a ride. He responded yes and we kept texting back and forth while I talked to Gally, who was texting someone else.

By the time the bell had rung, most of the class was done with their assignment and they all raced out without having to clean up. Newt and Gally walked out however. They both had people that they needed to take home. Gally had found some of the kids he needed to take home, they were freshmen, and his mom begged him to give them rides home because they lived in the neighborhood. Newt kept walking to a different set of doors, where he finds Minho waiting. Newt smiles as he catches his eye. They keep up the fast pace Newt set, with Minho just next to him.

The parking lot isn't hard to get out of, despite its looks.  In the car, Newt and Minho sing to a bunch of Disney songs at the top of their lungs. Just before Newt passed his house to go to Minho's, Minho said that he could stay the night. So they ended up at Newt's house, working on homework and goofing around.

"Newt! Minho! It's time for dinner," Newt's mom yelled from the kitchen.

The pair made their way to the table just as Newt's mom had put down their plates. It was just spaghetti and garlic bread as she knew both boys liked it. Newt only had his mom around, so it was just the three of them for dinner; this was not unusual, Minho had been eating dinner there almost every other day since they were ten. Newt sometimes even thought that his mom like Minho more.
