Pgs. 23-33

"Where was Alec? The tough guy with ask the battle instincts? Where had he run off to?" -pg. 23

At first, I had figured that the second sentence was sarcasm. As I turned page after page, I realized that it  definitely wasn't. Alec has saved his lives countless times, vice versa. Finding him was a wise choice.

"Can't we do something?" -Trina- pg. 25

The answer is obvious, and this line is spoken countless times. But the answer is always the same. Unfortunately.

"Alec's eyes burned with intensity and purpose. Grey hair or not, he suddenly looked twenty years younger." -pg. 27

----> "Fire away, boy," Alec growled. "Aim well, 'cause you've only got twelve bullets. Don't miss. Now!" -pg. 28

I've read the Eye of Minds and (of course) Maze Runner series by Dashner. Neither of them contain much description of what the characters look like. There's more description of what the characters look like in this book than the whole Eye of Minds series alone. Cherish it while you can..

"I can't believe we just did that," Mark said, his voice echoing. -pg. 32

Me neither Mark, me neither.

"But.." Mark began, then realized he had nothing to say. What else were they going to do, sit there and play blind hopscotch until someone came out to greet them with cookies and milk?.. -pg. 33

I absolutely love the sarcasm. It's good to argue sometimes, but not when there's nothing else to say. Sorry, Mark. Save it for later.

I'm pleased to say that I've finished my first page of notes. Also that I've updated twice today, even though practically no one is reading this.
