Maid POV

The master hadn't gotten up yet. I decided to let him sleep a little longer because I heard about all of the other things he did yesterday. But he needed to get up now or he would be late for school. I walk in and see the master lying on his bed with his NerveGear on. I just chuckled. He must've been on it all night. I walk over to him. I tried to shake him but then realized that he wouldn't be able to respond. So I was about to just unplug his device when a boy came running in with a girl by his side.

???: Don't!

I look and turn in surprise.

Maid: I apologize. I just wanted to wake up the young master. Do you wish to wake him up instead?

Boy: Don't remove that thing from his head.

Maid: Why not?

Boy: Something very bad is going on.

I look to see the girl almost break down in tears.

Maid: What's wrong, madam?

Girl: (Crying) I was hoping that he wouldn't be wearing one. I should've expected it though because his company helps creates technology like this. Eiji, what do we do?

Eiji: I don't know, Yuuna. I don't know.

Flashback

Yuuna POV

I had awoken and gotten dressed early and headed down to my kitchen. I usually made my lunch along with Eiji's. But today I wanted to make some lunch for Y/N-kun. I've been crazy about him ever since I was very young. I was going to put all my love into his lunch. I needed some noise so I decided to turn on the television as I made the lunch. It was commercial when I turned it on. I listened a little to what was on the screen. It was a local news channel.

Reporter: This just in. Maybe people this morning are finding people trapped in their NerveGear after playing a game called Sword Art Online. People are being told that if you have a loved one wearing a NerveGear to not remove it or it will kill the wearer.

After I heard this, I stopped what I was doing. I froze. I had a hard time understanding exactly what the lady had just said. Then I started to comprehend the message. I heard about the NerveGear. In fact, I bought one myself. So did Eiji. We were going to show them to Y/N-kun and break them since Y/N-kun's company dealt with AmuSphere. It was going to be funny and symbolic. But after I heard that, I started to panic. What if Y/N-kun was also wearing one? What then? As if on instinct, my body moved on it's own. I ran to Eiji's room screaming. He snapped awake.

Eiji: Yuuna, what's wrong?

Yuuna: (Crying) Y/N-kun is in trouble!

Eiji: How?

I then explained to Eiji what I heard. His eyes widen and he quickly got dressed.

Eiji: Get dressed quickly, Yuuna. We need to head over to Y/N's and fast.

Eiji and I got dressed and headed straight over. We saw his driver in the driveway. He smiled and waved at us.

Driver: Good morning! Coming to wake up the young master? He's a little bit behind.

Eiji: Do you know if is wearing a NerveGear right now?

Driver: I do not know. Why are you two so worked up for?

I then explain to the driver what was going on and he was shocked. Just then, another car came into the driveway. A lady walked out who I did not recognize.

Lady: Is this the L/N residence?

Driver: It is. Who may I ask are you?

Lady: I'm his assistant. Something bad is going on and I need to check up on him.
