Please report to the meeting room - Taeyong

Melanie sighed, closing the fridge and finishing making her third cup of coffee before heading heading over. She waved slightly at YangYang, who was sitting on a table strumming a guitar, as she passed. As she neared the meeting room, she spotted Jiyeon.

"Hi." Jiyeon said as she walked up to Melanie.

"Hey. Are you going to the meeting room?" Melanie asked.

"No, but Johnny and I are going out for dinner tonight." Jiyeon said, smiling.

"That's sweet. Where are you guys going?"

"I rented out the top floor of the Glass Dragon. It's a surprise for our anniversary." Jiyeon said, winking at Melanie.

"Have fun." Melanie smirked back as she stepped into the meeting room. There she found, Taeyong, Doyoung, Yuta, Lucas, and Jaehyun.

"Melanie you made it." Taeyong said.

"Yup. Whats the situation." Melanie said, taking an aggressive swig of her coffee.

"Simple. We're doing an information scout for the next week. Each of you are going in as civilians and will gather everything you can by any means necessary." Doyoung said.

"What's our drop-off point and time-frame?" Lucas asked smirking.

"Tonight, the Twilight Club no later than 11 pm. You have until Thursday, 10:30 pm. If you come back any later without notice there will be consequences." Taeyong said. "You're dismissed."

Melanie nodded, exiting out of the room. She fished her phone out of her pocket typing in a number as she sipped on her coffee.

"Hey bitch. You up for a week of chaos and lying?"

A few hours later, Lucas sighed, scanning his eyes across the Twilight. The three men had already been there for 45 minutes. It was three minutes to 11 now.

"Where the fuck is Melanie?" Lucas said, chugging down the rest of his drink.

"She always comes at just the right time." Jaehyun chuckled.

Yuta raised his eyebrow, "What do you mean?"

Suddenly they heard the large doors of the club, reserved for VIPs only swing open and a woman step out.

"Like I said, she always comes at just the right time." Jaehyun said.

Melanie took a pause at the top of the stairs before walking down. Her blonde hair was pulled up high into a slick ponytail, and her eyes were a mysterious dark brown. She wore navy velvet slip dress and black pumps, and also carried a black clutch.

"Damm..." Lucas muttered under his breath.

Melanie took a seat at the bar, ordering a drink. Jaehyun watched her, noticing how she sat and held herself. She was using body language to make men think she was interested in having a good night with them. After all, no one would question if she went home with a man? She's just a woman, alone at a nightclub on a Thursday.

The three men spilt ways, departing before re-joining again to return to the airbnb they managed to get.

"Is Melanie not coming with us?" Lucas asked.

"No, she's busy and most likely going solo for this one." Jaehyun said.

"Solo? Say that to all of men she's flirted with in the past four hours alone." Lucas said.

"I'm impressed, she's on the sixth guy tonight." Yuta said, looking over at Melanie talking with a man who looked to be a few years older than her.

"She's picking and choosing. She doesn't want to go home with the wrong victim after all." Jaehyun explained.

"That's cruel." Lucas said as they walked out of the bar.

"She's just the playing the game of life her way."

Melanie sighed throwing her bag harshly over her shoulder, it was Wednesday and she had a day before she had to return.

"Moon I'm heading out now!" Melanie yelled before exiting the condo.

"Bring me back some chicken strips bitch!" Moon yelled.

Melanie laughed before making her way down to her motorcycle. She hopped on, speeding away through the streets of Seoul. Something was going on and she needed to figure it out. After an hour of driving, she pulled onto the shoulder of the highway and pulled out an energy bar to eat. She finished her food, going to put her helmet on when she made eye contact with a driver going the opposite direction of her.

They looked familiar. Too familiar.

Melanie shoved her thoughts aside and continued on, eventually reached an abandoned warehouse. She parked her motorbike a 12 feet away and stealthily creeped through the woods.

She spotted a side-door and slipped through. The warehouse had trash lying around, as well as what she was looking for. She picked the file folder of the ground, and started making her way out. Then she saw something on the ground.

She furrowed her brows at the black cloth with a spray-painted red X in the middle of it. Pulling out her small camera, she snapping a picture before sneaking back out. She hopped back onto her motorcycle, and sped back towards Seoul.

Something even bigger was going on, outside the diamond heist and she needed to figure out what it was.

She reached the apartment a few hours later, practically kicking down the door and spotting Moon on the couch, smoke in hand.

"Want a blunt?" Moon asked.

"Yeah. I'm gonna need it for the headache that what I found caused me." Melanie said, throwing her bag onto her desk and throwing the motorcycle onto an arm chair.

Moon grabbed a blunt and lit it, passing it off to her sister. The blue-eyed half-korean looked over at her half-sister with interest. Something was definitely up. Melanie took a deep hit, exhaling the off-white smoke.

"Need some help with this?" Moon asked.

"Yeah. I think Ace and Red aren't the only ones involved. I think I might have to add someone else to the list but I need more info first. I'm gonna make a quick trip before I have to head back to base again." Melanie said, gesturing to the open file and the photo she took.

The sisters worked tirelessly for the next hours, as the only thing that could be heard in the apartment was the clicking of their mouses, tapping of the keyboards, scribbling of their pens, and the sighs of the two.

"Sure. If you aren't out of my house by 1 pm tomorrow I'll shoot you." Moon said, poking out her tongue.

"Fuck you bitch." Melanie said, flipping her off before disappearing into her room.

"Where in the fuck is Melanie? It's 11:05." Taeyong said, glaring out the huge windows.

"Hyung, I'm sure its fine-"

"Rules are rules Jeno. When she gets back she will face the consequences." Taeyong cut him off.

Ten minutes passed, then an hour, then two. The members were getting uneasy. Everyone knew what happened if you broke the timeframe without permission, and it wasn't a pretty punishment.

"Okay everyone go to sleep, she'll return eventually." Johnny said, ushering people to bed.

The members grumbled and trudged off to bed, all except for Taeyong who just stood there, a cold and stoic look on his face. His eyes were filled with rage and annoyance. Melanie knew the consequences, so why wasn't she following the rules. He had the punishment in place specifically so people wouldn't break the allotted time rule.

He stood there for another four hours, watching and waiting. Eventually he retired to bed, after all, she had to be back by morning, right?

Right?
