The time was half past three. You had been searching through reports for the past 6 hours, only for most of them to be useless. The lights began to flicker before turning off completely.

"Agh," You sighed, "Damn breaker." You lazily pulled yourself out of the desk chair, snatching your flashlight off the table. After switching on the breaker, you went around checking all the windows. The guest rooms window was wide open, the curtains flailing in and out.

"Hm, maybe I just left it open." You brushed it off and went back to the computer.

"Just one more report, one."
You had been do this for years, it was a breeze. There was always one thing that stumped you, it got in your way. It drained you like a leech. You'd lie awake a night obsessing over it, dreaming about it. The blue blood killer. Who was he?

The cameras were pulled up in the corner, no activity as always. Your mind began to wander when you saw something on the front camera.

"What the hell was that?"
You zoomed through the cameras looking for movement, but failed to find anything.

"Am I hallucinating? I need to hurry up and finish this report."
And you did just that. The the last piece of evidence was put in, and to the shredder it went. You sat there for a good 5 minutes before noticing a faint sound of crickets.
You know for a fact that all the windows were closed. You quietly got out of your seat, tiptoeing to the front of the hall. The chirps stopped abruptly like a window had been shut. Standing still in complete silence, just waiting for another sound was nerve wracking.

Better safe than sorry though. Just when you were about to go back, the door opened and someone stepped out. A man, he was tall with a neat comb over, and piercing brown eyes. He wore a long white doctors coat with a red tie. You froze in fear, as he stared.

"Well, this is awkward," He chuckled before charging at you. You finally snapped out of it and moved out of the way.

"Ah, you're quick," He had an unnerving smile on his face as he spoke. He ran for you again, you sweeped under his foot making him fall back. You acted fast and got on top of him, straddling his lower stomach. He looked up at you, still with that creepy smile.
"Who the hell are you, and why are you in my house," you questioned.

"That's for me to know, and you to find out later."

You looked at him in confusion, getting angrier each passing second. You slammed the ground next to him, you demanded answers "Tell me now!"

He motioned for you to come close. There was something about him that was so enticing. "Ugh snap out of it." you thought to yourself. He grabbed your arm, drawing you in. When you were close enough he placed his hand on your neck. You were now in a questionable position. His mouth right next to your ear. His warm breath tickled your skin, making you jump.

He whispered "Lets talk."
You felt a sharp pain under your ear. You screamed in agony before he shut you up.
"Ashshshshh."

Your vision started to get blurry as you grasped on to the pinch of consciousness you had left. You felt his hand rest on your shoulder. His sweet voice still in your ear, "Don't worry, the pain will be gone soon."
The last words you heard before everything went black.
