"Ah finally. This felt like ages."
You opened your eyes to see the man sitting across from you. He was leaning forward on his elbows, hands on his cheeks.
"Don't worry, I wasn't staring at you the whole time," he tilted his head to the right.
"You were out for quite a while though. Mayhaps I got the dosage wro-"
You cut him off, "Where the hell are we?"
"Oh," he hesitated, "just a little place I like to bring people."
There was a long, awkward pause. Before you could get yourself together he was right beside you, smiling of course. You groaned, reaching for your ear. The pain came out of nowhere.
"What did you do to me?"
"I just injected you with a little Midazolam. It should wear off soon." He leaned forward and kissed the spot under your ear, sealing it with a small pink bandage.
"There, all better."
You pushed your chair back and turned to face him. He was now looming over you. He positioned his pointer and middle finger under you chin. He started to speak as he pushed your chin up so you would look at him.
"I won't lie, I'm being a bit unfair. My name is Tanner." He stayed silent as if he was waiting for you to introduce yourself.
"I- I-m-"
"Yes yes (y/n), I'm well aware."
He stared, constantly without blinking. It was like he was a doll brought to life, excluding the eyelids.
"I've been watching you, or perhaps studying is a better word."
Tanner paced back and forth behind you.
"You're extremely persistent, and for what. I mean no harm, it's truly is impressive."
You got up and looked at him with an angry expression, "What's that supposed to mean, huh?"
"You know exactly what it means. You have no clue who the one and only, blue blood killer is."
"I've gotten so far, what do you mea-"
He backed you onto the wall with a small brown folder keeping your chests from touching.
"In this little thing is all the information you'll need on that blue rascal."
"Why exactly should I trust you of all people?"
Tanner grinned, "I admire you. Now ask yourself, why would I betray someone I admire?"
You were at a lost for words. Once again you got lost in your own thoughts.
"Admire me?"
"For what?"
"What does he knows about me?"Tanner grew bored as you looked at him in silence. He flicked his finger against your cheek.
"Ow!" you put your hand where the pain was.
"Cat got your tongue?"
You scoffed and reached for the folder. He snatched it away, putting it behind his back.
"Ah ah ah, not yet. I need a favor from you."
He walked back over to the table and sat down.
"I've been running for a bit and I'm extremely tired of it."
You walked over and forcefully placed your hands on the table.
"If you think I'd ever get you off the hook, you're wrong. Just delusional."
He pulled a small shredder from under the table.
"I believe you know where this is going to go."
The shredder was turned on with the folder dangling over it.
You gasped, "You wouldn't!"
He rolled his eyes and put the bottom in. You watched in horror as the paper began to fall in."Okay okay, I'll do anything just stop!"
Tanner pulled out the folder looking intrigued. "Anything?" he asked.
"Yes name it, I'll do it. I need those documents."
He walked over, going behind you again. You tried to turn around but he pushed you forward onto the table. He pushed your hair aside, dragging his fingers down your neck.
"I'd like to say sorry in advance. Cover me."
He pulled out his syringe, tapping it with his middle finger.
"Until next time, (Y/N)," he said in a yearning voice. Tanner lodged the syringe into your neck. You fell under for the second time.
