Chapter 34

It had been a few days since the whole situation had happened. I called my mom to talk to her about it, and she was pretty upset. I begged her not to tell my dad, for two reasons. One, he would be so mad at Corbyn, I don't even think he would be able to sing at his next show. Second, I didn't know where things were going to go. I still loved Corbyn, and I still wanted things to work out, but if this was gonna happen every time I had to leave him... that wouldn't work.
Corbyn was slowly gaining my trust, just by little things. Like keeping promises or trying to spend time with me again. He was finally starting to seem like his old funny, passionate, kind self again. And I had really missed it.
I wanted to trust him again for multiple reasons. First off, I wanted to put the past behind me and start over. Secondly, he gave me every reason in the world to trust him again. Thirdly, I missed him holding me. I know it was stupid of me, he had just been cheating on me and I still wanted to be with him. I wanted him to hold me, give me one of his hoodies, watch a movie with me, kiss me, and just be my boyfriend again. But that was gonna take some work, and time. Nothing happens overnight.

"Hey do y'all want to watch a movie later?" Jonah came outside to ask us. I was tanning in the pool, with Dani and Zach.
"Um hells ya! What movie?" I ask.
"Sure." Zach says.
"I don't know yet, something scary?" Jonah asks.
"I'm down." Dani says. Zach and I both nod our heads in agreement. Jonah heads back inside.
"So how are you feeling about everything?" Zach asks.
"Oh yeah how is Corbyn doing?" Daniel asks.
"I'm feeling good, and he's getting there." I say.

   Later on we were getting ready to watch the movie, you know, cooking popcorn and getting a ton of blankets. I sat down on the couch with my popcorn, drink, and soft blanket I had pulled out of the closet. The boys were in the kitchen finishing getting their stuff ready.
   "Can I set here?" Corbyn ask. He was pointing to the spot right next to me. I nod, and he sits. He starts to grab another blanket.
   "Here you can share this on with me." I say. He smiles. The boys start coming in arguing about something. "Hey," they all stop and look at me, "are we gonna start the movie or what?" I ask. They all quickly take their seats. Dani sits on the other side of me, then Jonah and Jack. Zach sits beside Corbyn.
   "I still don't see why we have to watch a scary movie. Y'all know I hate them." I say.
   "Yeah me too but that's why we are sitting in the middle." Jonah says. I laugh.
   As the movie starts, I already feel uncomfortable and I hate it. Why. Why a scary movie?

                                 Corbyn's POV
   Y/N looked so pretty today. Every time I saw her I wanted to just pick her up and give her a kiss. I was so happy when she told me we could share a blanket, I think she is starting to trust me again. Little by little.
   At the beginning of the movie I could tell she already hated it. So, I took a chance. I put my arm around her and pulled her in close.
   "You'll be fine, I promise." I told her. I had always told her that when we watched a scary movie. She didn't say anything, but she also didn't move out of my arms. So I think it's okay.

After the movie Y/N was sleepy. She was about to fall asleep, and I can't blame her it had been a long day. I picked her up and took her to her room. Even though I wanted to take her back to mine, I figured I better not. When I sat her down, I pulled her hair back and gave her a kiss of the forehead. As I was walking out, I heard her voice say, "Stay?"
It was very faint, but I heard it. I turned back around and slowly walked back up to the bed. She was facing the other way but I could still see a little bit of her face. When I reached the bed, she moved the covers, I knew then that she wanted me. I slowly climbed in and lay there for a second. I felt her grab my hand and put it around her stomach. I got comfortable and laid my head down.
I missed this.
I missed her.
I missed us.
