Not Listening Brings Trouble

Clean up your mess
Our mom would say
Or else when they visit
They won't go away

But we didn't listen
We made a huge mess
And what happened next
You probably can guess

The ants, they moved in
First a few then a bunch
We all should have listened
To our mother's hunch

They have to go
That we all agreed
A perfect plan is just
What we would need

My brother thought fire
But that can't be controlled
My sister said poison
That's crazy she was told

In the end we decided
Since we can't think of another
That it would probably be best
If we were to ask our mother

Call the best exterminator
They will take care of your pests
And to keep them away
Here is what our mom suggests

Clean up the mess and then
Apply baby powder on every crack
Then citrus and banana peels
Will keep them from coming back

This time we listened
And now we live in peace
With a clean house plus a happy mom
Our joy will never cease
