Post-Landing Log 1
Captain Gene Calloway
Date: 0/0/00
Location: K5b-48V [UNMAPPED REGION]
Time: \1/ 30:11 [Phase 1 in 96 hour cycle]
This day will be remembered as the day humanity arrived. The day we fell from the sky and dug into the ground. The people who now populate this planet will one day be the ancestors of great generations, whose work, as is ours, is to tame this world and call it our own.
There will be expansive cities, and ample, costless production from our fabrication machines that gift whatever we need. It is truly a paradise we have acquired.
Our researchers will be out again at zero-hour, to learn what we can about this new world, and what possible animal life it may have to offer. We have already been impressed with the plant life, as I have discussed with Mora and their colleagues, it will be good to know if there are any possibly threatening creatures in this world. Soon our Zoologist team will bring animals of our own out of stasis, and in time we will produce meat and dairy.
There has never been a time when humanity was so equipped, so impermeable, unstoppable.
Tomorrow we rise where we fell, with grace and precision.
The Archimedes will close up for the long night, Temperatures drop to near freezing at midnight, and due to anticipated hazards of darkness on our new world, we will wake with the two suns.
