chapter 13

we stood still people surrounding us , but we didn't move.

Joe's hand slowly traced over my jaw , up to my ear .

It was dark now and everybody around us was dancing to the upbeat rhythm.

All I could hear now was my pulse beating , the voices from around us faded away.

All i was thinking about was us right now.

He had complete controller over me , my whole body tingled due to his touch.

we where staring into each others eyes , deeply.

People where close around us now as Joe moved closer to my ear.

But not too close.

"so , what do you say ? "he whispered his rough voice making me smirk.

I suddenly realized I never gave him an answer.

" How about .." I said pulling away and placing my hand on my hip " yes "

He pulled me into a hug , arms around my waist.

" You know , I liked you even since we first met " he said tucking a strand of my hair behind my ear " I'm serious "

I laughed as he pulled me in and pressed his soft lips against mine .

This felt right , maybe too right.

But right now i didn't care.

Hours later after alcohol had entered my system I was dancing high on a table with another girl.

" Babe " said a voice from down low , I ignored it " Jess "

I looked down , Joe's eyes met with mine.

I felt overwhelmed at the sight of him.

" JOE! " i said literally jumping into his arms from the table " i have missed you "

After while i placed my feet on the ground and he slipped his hand into mine , he begun to led me through the crowd of dancing people.

I just looked around taking in my surroundings of all the colours and lights.

Then suddenly my body was exposed the the crisp cold night air.

I shivered as Joe placed his arm around my waste and led me over to a group of older looking boys.

" Guys " said Joe , letting go of me to fist bump them.

I placed my arms over my stomach , hoping to provide warmth.

" This is Jess that girl i was telling you about " he said taking my waist again.

I smiled but didn't speak.

These guys looked dodgy , within the cloud of smoke anyway.

" damn Joe , you've scored high this time " one guy commented , what was that supposed to mean.

 But before i could comment a rather large cigarette was placed in front of my face.

I realized that right now i was expected to take it.

But i have never smoked before.

I thought back to my old Science classes.

Back to the Times when i actually used to listen and concentrate on class.

This should be easy , right?

I mean like how hard could it be , i took the fag between my fingers.
