ROYAL GARDEN (Corrupted Version)

Lia

Upon waking up, I went to go see Donghae and see how he was doing. It was quite a long way, I wonder how Lia managed to carry him all this way.

As I approached his room, a type of nurse came out wearing a black lab coat with a yellow arm band. There was something written on it but in a different language most likely said 'Nurse'.

"Oh, sorry didn't know he had any visitors." The nurse said

"Oh, he doesn't. He's just my guide."

"Guide?" She said

"Yeah, I came here to check up on him before I left, is he doing fine?" I asked

"From the looks of it yes, the queen was worried that he hasn't woken up yet but he should wake up within the end of the day." The nurse said as she left

"Well, Donghae is going well at least, now to meet up with Lia in the Royal Gardens."

I continued to walk towards the Royal Gardens, and I ended up passing by a small room filled with nurses since they were dressed the same. Like the other.

When, I reached the doors leading to the gardens someone hold my arm with such force and yanked me back.

I turned around to see the same nurse again but she seemed more serious.

"You again? Let me go!" I said as I struggled

"Take this you'll need it."

She then pulled out a dagger from behind her, the dagger was still in it's sheath, black with gold engraving of a symbol resembling a sun.

Once I took a hold of it she let me go and then walked away.

"What was that about?" I thought

I opened the doors and saw Lia crouching in front of these beautiful flowers. With such an elegant shade of blue.

Lia noticed me and stood up

"You're ready to go?" She said with a slight smile

"Yeah, have you been to this dungeon before?" I asked while walking

"Yes, but not inside I was told that I shouldn't go in there alone. Oh I almost forgot to ask!" Lia said

"Ask what?"

"How should I address you?"

"Just call me by my name 'Yeji' ." I said

"Yeji..." Lia said softly

It felt some what soothing hearing her say my name.

"How long will it take to reach this dungeon?" I asked

"In one day if we don't take any breaks."

We left the garden and entered this forest area, brings back memories of when me and Donghae were attacked by that stranger.

I felt so uneasy and on edge that I couldn't focus well just thinking he might come out again. My breathing became irregular and my vision slowly losing focus, every sound becoming louder and louder until.

"Hey, you okay yeji?" Lia asked as she put her hand on my shoulder

"Uh!"

Everything became silent back to normal my breathing, my vision. I felt at peace when she talked to me, I felt a nice and warm aura around her.

Her face filled with concern and worried.

"Yeah, I'm fine just this forest is messing with me, I'm sorry for making you worry." I said

"No need to apologise if you need a break we can wait."

"No, we can't right now there's no time to rest we have to get that artifact."

We continued on to the dungeon, as we moved closer I could feel a presence of magical energy.

"Hey, Lia were close!" I said as I ran up a hill

Once, I reached the top I was amazed by what I saw, it was a vast valley filled with destroyed and abandoned buildings. They were also very old due to the vegetation covering them.

"So, which one is it Lia can't tell by this feeling." I said

"Well, it's the biggest one." She pointed across

The fastest way to it was to go through the buildings, as I crossed it started to rain thankfully me and Lia had hoods. While walking I was observing the damage and ruble that was left.

It was unsettling, seeing the bones of people everywhere, children toys, broken weapons on the floor. The only thing I had in my mind was "cruel"

"Lia do you know what happened here?" I asked

She seemed surprised by my answer.

"You don't know? I thought everyone knew? Well, a war took place here with the inhabitants of this place and a corrupted war hero." Lia replied

"What was the reason for this war?"

"The reason behind it is simple it was for the artifact."

"All of this death and destruction for a artifact, how powerful is this that your willing to kill everyone for it." I thought

"Here, we are." Lia said

The entrance to the dungeon was huge but the structure of it was terrifying like it was talking to you and saying.

"If you enter consequences's will arise."

In the middle of the entrance there was a staircase which we took down, which led to this room with a round table in the middle.

On the table there was an object laying there, the closer I got the feeling got stronger.

"Yeji, are you sure that's the artifact?" Lia said

"Yes, I can feel it within me."

I reached my hand toward's it and picked it up. Once I did that I heard machines, gears moving behind the walls revealing small holes.

I got closer to investigate but Lia shouted.

"Yeji! Get away from that!"

She than pulled me towards her, turned us around and brought us down to the floor.

Then I realized that those holes were a trap shooting arrows at a fast speed. While Lia was on top of me she was receiving cuts from the arrows.

Grunting from the pain I couldn't do anything but hear. At the same time the entrance exploded blocking us in, shortly after the arrows stopped.

"Yeji...are you...okay?' Lia said painfully while blood was dripping from her sides due to her back filled with cuts from the arrows

"Yes, I'm fine but you!" I said

"I'll...be...alright" she said with a smile

After that Lia fell unconscious
