Chapter 9: Panic Attack.

*a few days later*

TORRES' POV:

We didn't have a case so we were able to eat lunch at 12.

"Hey, wanna go grab lunch?" I asked to the team.
"Sure, why not?!" Said McGee.
"El.?"
"Uhm- I have to go- see- Sloane." She said hardly breathing.
"Hey, hey, hey, calm down, you're okay." I said going to her desk.
"I- I need to go."
"Okay, no problem, do you want me to help you go there?"
"No, no I'm- gonna be fine."
"Okay... be careful." I knew it was a panic attack so I just let her do her thing.
When she was in the middle of the stairs, she just dropped to the floor, me and McGee ran to her.
"ELLIE! Ellie!" We both screamed
"I'm fine..." she said with the smallest voice, trying to get up.
"Take it easy El." Told McGee.
"I can do it!" She said still having trouble breathing.
"Ellie, I'm gonna help you to Jack office and we'll make Jimmy come up here."
"No I- I can do it." She said trying to walk on her own. Well, she fell right back into my arms.
"Nick, I wanted to go, I promise I still see Godrig!"
"I know El., I know, I believe you."

When we got to Jack office, Gibbs was there with her.

"What happened?" Asked Gibbs.
"I-I"
"Okay, Ellie, it's okay, count, you need to count!" Said Jack taking Ellie to the couch.
While Ellie was counting backwards, I explained what happened.
"I asked if she wanted to grab lunch and she had a panic attack, she told me she needed to come here and she didn't want my help so I let her do her thing, she dropped to the floor on her way here."
"Do you know why?"
"I do." Said Jack from behind while Ellie just fell asleep.
"Is she really asleep?" I asked.
"Yes, panic attacks can take a lot of energy."
"So, why?" Asked Gibbs.
"She gets scared of food sometimes, it happens to people who had feeding tube but we don't really know why, she just got scared."
"But she didn't have a feeding tube so it's something else." I said.
They both looked at me.
"What?"
"She had a feeding tube, for two weeks Nick."
"What?!"
"It's why you couldn't see her."
"I didn't know."
"You can talk to her later Nick, but now just stay here until she wakes up." Said Gibbs.
"Uhm- okay." I said still kinda shocked.
