Original history of Amethyst

The brief story of Amethyst, first queen of  Fairyland.

Amethyst was born on Earth among Celts after the Roman invasion. Her original name was Aine. When she was young, she had very strict mother who nervier let her go outside the house, and a brilliant father who always told her stories about Faeries. Aine longed for adventure, and on the day of her theidteenth birthday, she sneaked into the woods far from the village and stumbled across something glowing. Aine remembered stories her father always told her and instantly realised that it was a faerie. She asked it if it can kidnap her to fairyland, it replied, "You are not mine to take. You love your father dearly, why leave him?". Aine said, "It is mother that I am trying to get away from." It sat down on her nose and said, "Everything she did for you were for good intentions. They may seem harsh, but she has her reasons." It disappeared. Aine went home and her mother said , "Take a seat.It is time I tell you why I don't let you out of the house," she took a deep breath. "You had a sister bone before you. The moment I wasn't looking, the faeries kidnapped her! I was worried that they might do the same to you."

In the next few years, the family lived in harmony, until the Saxons invaded England. They murdered her father and slaughtered her mother, and massacre the entire village. Aine escaped into the woods with nothing but her mother's ring. She was lost in the woods until she saw the fairy circle. It was a circle of mushrooms, but in the middle, there was a pot.It was getting dark, and Aine couldn't see anything.She was wandering where to sleep when she tripped over a stone and fell into the pot. One moment she just had on foot in it, the next moment she was shrinking and spinning down a rainbow. She slid down at the end of the rainbow.
Aine looked around in amazement. All the people had wings. One of the faeries came forward and said, "You need not be afraid. We are fairies, not faeries. Faeries are ruled by Mab and likes kidnapping people. We are good and welcome people." Amethyst explained that she was being hunted and asked if she can stay here forever. A group of fairies flew forward and said, "It is some time since any other creatures visited fairyland. There is a strange rule that states that Fairyland must not be ruled by fairies. Since you want to stay forever, do you want to be queen?" Aine looked around . There were no houses, no fires, nothing. She said, "This place certainly can use a bit of innovation." The fairies said that she had to be queen to do that. Aine took pity on them and agreed. "I am Lunalite and this is Dreamlite. And,oh, what is your name, your majesty?" asked one of the fairies. Aine heard Lunalite's name and her nam felt plain as porridge.The, she remembered the stone her mother's ring in her pocket. So, she replied, "Call me Amethyst." She had lost everything. Her parents, her home, her friends, so why not put this all behind, even her birth name. She had lost her Celtic identity anyway. If she go back, she would be a Saxon. From that day on, Aine ceased to exist. She was Amethyst, eleventh queen of Fairyland. She had her army, her kingdom and her. And she will change Fairyland.

For the next year, the new queen Amethyst learned the laws and culture of Fairyland, learned the etiquette of a queen. After she had familiarise the way of Fairyland, it was time to change something. The first problem was housing. The fairies lived everywhere and and had no permanent living quarters. The house of the queen was a cave. All Celtic houses were built with wood, but the forest of Fairyland was sacred. She remembered the grand Roman houses were built with bricks, so she ordered a fairy who can levitate heavy stone and built a huge protective house with towers and dungeons. Fairies can work there and get food or prizes. When Fairyland was attacked, all the fairies would go hide in there. Amethyst was standing in one of the towers when she saw a lot of mushrooms. They were poisonous, since they were red. And most of all, they were grown in millions.Amethyst thought that they looked like a house with two levels. She thought, "If they were huge, they can become houses." So she called in all the fairies who could control plants made all the toadstools huge, and made enough room for seven fairies inside. Not long after, all the fairies lived in groups of toadstools. They made natural furniture mode of trigs and leaves. They used magic so their houses wouldn't rot.

Next, Amethyst taught the fairies how to cook, read, write and have jobs. She taught them Rune and Latin. She introduced the idea of earning money and using money. One could earn money by growing vegetables and fruit, selling animals for eating or get a job in the castle. Then they could use the the money to buy food and supplies.

One of the greatest creation of Amethyst was the Hypatia, the first history book in Fairyland. All the details of Fairyland was written inside. It was named after Hypatia, a great female who knew counting, the stars and mankind. Amethyst always heard the story from the Romans. They said she lived far from the Celts. The book Hypatia was made of iron and the pages were made of silver. It still lives to this day.

Thirty years later, a girl stumbled into Fairyland. She was a witch and her name was Titania. She said she came here because a seer said she would be the next Fairy queen. She explained that war would be coming upon Fairyland, and Fairyland might be destroyed. Titania show Amethyst with her crystal ball. There were creatures of the darkness, invading worlds and destroying them. They used strange rings and and collars to enslave free beings. The enslaved spoke with unearthly voices and bided the evil kings' will. Amethyst was horrified. The fairies only knew growth and weak levitation, and Fairyland had no standing army. There was no way to escape. They were all lambs to the slaughter. Titania said that she still had to go back to Earth, but she would come back at Fairyland's hour of need.
War came quicker than expected. Those monsters brought a huge army with them, many of them enslaved.The safest place on Fairyland was the castle. So, many fairies tried to hide in the castle, but the monsters held them down. Only those who worked in the castle were able to hide in the deepest dungeon with Amethyst. They used their invisibility to hide themselves, so the enemy wouldn't discover them.The monster kings searched the who castle, but their dark presence broke their magic. Soon, the enemies marched into the dungeon and rounded up all of the fairies. They then burned the dungeon with fire, none of them survived. At the same time,Titania arrived at Fairyland and used her magic to banish the creatures of darkness, but it was too late. Amethyst was dead. Titania said to her crystal ball, "I have failed. I couldn't save the queen." The sprite of the crystal ball appeared, dressed in a long, white lace dress. She said, "You have not failed. You saved Fairyland. But, it is not Amethyst's time anymore. It is yours. Once a creature has accepted the position of queen, they will be their whole life. They can only be dead or disposed, but they can not abdicate.You are bonded to be queen, Titania."
So, a new reign begin, ending the story of Amethyst and starting the story of Queen Titania, twelve queen of Fairyland.

This is the original Amethyst. I edited much of it because it partly didn't made sense or it did make sense but I could not find the right words for it. English is not my mother tongue. However, my English is better than my mother tongue.
