I woke up to see that it was late. I looked out the window behind me to the right to see that it was about midnight. I sighed and wiped the traitor tear from my cheek.
He said to find him but how? He just up and left one morning saying it was a 'business trip' in a letter. Though it was adressed to me I never got to read it.
I got up out of the bed to see that Leonardo wasn't there. I took a deep breath and turned the door nob, surprizingly it opened allowing me onto the deck.
I looked out to see that it was deserted. Not a soul was down below so I walked out and down the steps careful to not clunk in my shoes.
I made it to the front of the ship and leaned forward on the railing. The sky was clear so all the stars were visible.
"Dad, I don't know if you can hear me but why? Why did you leave me with them? To get bullied, abused. Why didn't you come back?" I looked down at the ocean and felt tempted to jump.
I sighed for the millionth time and looked back up. "Why couldn't you take me with you? Or told me where you went instead of 'when you're 18 you can try to find me'! What he hell! You could've just told me where to go! Given me a map or something!"
I whisper yelled to myself feeling another traitor tear fall down my cheek. I sniffed and wiped it away before speaking again.
"I know you're there. Come out." I said glancing behind me to see Leonardo. "Do you need something?" I asked turning around fully.
Leonardo's POV (Surprize peoples!)
I was steering the ship when I noticed sleeping beauty finally woke up. Feeling dumb about forgetting to lock the door last time I checked on her.
She walked down the steps silently making her way to the front of the ship. I sighed and followed behind her silently making sure she doesn't kill herself.
When I finally got to where she was I hid in the shadows and watched her whisper to herself. "Why?" I heard her ask repeatively. She was hurt.
I don't mean hurt like a broken heart, I mean hurt as in thrown away like trash and beaten by everyone. I continued listening till she finally spoke normally.
"I know you're there. Come out." I smirked but quickly wiped it off my face and stepped forward. She glanced at me before turning around completely.
With the breeze kicking up her already tangled hair swirled around her. She looked breath takingly beautiful and it took alot to not run up and kiss her then and there.
I'm a pirate. It's my job to steal something shiny and beautiful. But it felt wrong to do that to her.
She was broken and needed mending, but that wasn't the way to do it. She needed real love for once in her life.
Back to Anastasia's POV
"What do you want?" I hissed annoyed. "Oh nothing... just wanted to check on my fair maiden."
I rolled my eyes and turned around back torwards the ocean. I heard a sigh and footsteps. Instead of them getting quieter they got louder.
He stopped right next to me and peered out at the ocean not looking at me. "You heard the whole thing."
I asked but it came out as a statement. He nodded not looking up. "So, your mom died and your dad abandoned you?" He asked and I sighed.
"When I was little my mom got sick from an epidemic that went through town. She died peacefully in her sleep when I was 10. My dad had to remarry as a duke to an absolute jerk. She treated me like trash and tossed me around when he wasn't looking..."
