Chapter 9: First brain is always best for picking

Ash was looking forward to this. After all the training he had done, he was quite eager to challenge his very first brain of school. The fact that Paul already defeated the brain was just a contributory factor to boost his thrill.
He couldn't let Paul get ahead of him . So today, he was gonna have his very first battle with brain in school.

The brains were located in proximity to school campus but hardly anyone had seen the brain. They stayed inside their own built field or more like unofficial gym.

"Well here we are. Ready for our first brain battle , Pikachu?" Ash asked .

"Pika" Pikachu said affirmatively.

"Alright! I am Ash Ketchum and I am here for my brain battle." Ash shouted at the closed doors. Soon the doors started to open and he entered the tunnel which opened to a field which was set in forest type area.

"Welcome to Your first brain battle. I am Alana , the brain of this tower. Are you ready?" A girl in her late seventeens asked. She had red hair and a enthusiastic look on her face .

"Yes! And today I am gonna win this as first brain victory." Ash replied.

"We will see about that ." She chuckled.

"The battle between Alana and Ash will now began. It will be 2 on 2 battle with no time limit. The battle will end when both of the Pokemon of either side is unable to battle. Only the challenger is allowed to substitute between the match . The brain will not . Start the match." A judge stated the rules.

"Go Arkanine!" She released her Pokéball .

"An Arkanine! Huh! It is a fire type. But it is also very speedy. I am gonna go with Eevee." Ash released his pokeball as Pikachu who was hoping to battle was surprised.

"Your Eevee looks great. It is well raised. But it is not gonna be any challenge for my Arkanine. Go Arkanine! Use fire spin." She said as huge burst of fire storm headed towards Eevee.

"Stand your ground, Eevee. Let it come closer " Ash said relaxed.

Let it come closer. What does he mean? Why is he not dodging it ? " She thought .

As the storm approached near, Ash quickly commanded" Now Eevee!" He whispered. The scene became blur as the firespin blew up with smoke to reveal Eevee was nowhere to be seen.

All of sudden, Eevee jumped out of ground and hit the Arkanine and went back to hole .

"Clever! Using dig to attack while we we were thinking of fire spin hitting you . But you can't hide and attack . We don't like that . Arkanine ! Jump into the hole." She smirked.

"Eevee! Get out of there ." Ash told her .

"Not so fast. Arkanine! Use extreme speed ." She said as the ground broke showing Eevee hit by Arkanine with immense speed.

Eevee struggled to get up.

"Come on ! Eevee ! Get up." Ash hasted as Eevee was back on its feet.

"That is one tough Eevee ! I will give you that. But it is time to end this. Arkanine! Use giga impact." She said as Arkanine approached with great speed and power .

"Well! This calls for our special arsenal.  Use attract. Now " Ash smiled as Eevee used attract on Arkanine casing Arkanine to be confused or more apt under attraction.

"What? I have never seen anyone using attract to avoid an attack like giga impact." She was stunned.

"I like to come up with my own way of defense . And I always say . Best defence is the good offence." Ash bragged.
