Flashback

It was a year after having had graduated and had Akemi

They had plans later that day to celebrate everything that's has happened, Akikos cat caffe Puurrrk me up! Was a success and Sozoshis own accounting company was doing great as well.

Sozoshi has planned their entire evening together and was planning to propose to the love of his life Akiko.

While Akiko was closing down the caffe and getting ready for the next day, Sozoshi came down stairs from there apartment quickly "Hey! So while you close up and get ready I'm gunna have to run a deposit quickly to the bank and I should be back in an hour or two, okay? And then when I get back I can get ready quick and then we will be off! OH! Also thank your mother for me for taking Akemi for the weekend." He said with a big smile as he ran back up stairs.

Akiko just smiled to herself while she quickly finished closing down the caffe so she could run upstairs to figure out an outfit to wear for there night out of celebration.

While going through her closet to see what she should wear she realized she didn't ask if it was formal or not. ' CRAP I forgot to ask Zoshi if I should dress all fancy or like my normal ' nice' for going out... I should call and ask him she should still be on his way there..' Akiko grabbed her cell and called Sozoshi quick to find out what she should wear.
"Heu Zoshi, um quick question this will sound dumb but, should I wear formal or like little less formal?" Akiko asked quickly on the phone
"I'd say not black tie but nice nice hahaha" Sozoshi answered her
"Oh I just got to the bank, I'll be back by 6:30 so we can get going by 7:00 cuz our reservation is for 8:15 tonight, okay babe I love you" Sozoshi said as he ended the call.

Akiko then hopped in the shower and quickly readied her self by doing her hair and adding some eyeliner and mascara, then proceeded to her closet to figure out what to wear.

After about an hour of trying to figure it out she was finally ready to go. Akiko checked the time and it was 6:35pm
"He should have been back 5 minutes ago... he's not normally one to be late at all. Wonder where he is... Maybe traffic is slow or the train got stopped or delayed due to a random villain attack." Akiko stayed out loud while making a ''o'' face.

Just as she put her phone down to do a quick once over on her outfit and makeup to make sure everything was in place.

As Akiko made it back to her bed to sit on and checked her phone again it was 6:55pm. Just as she was about to dial Sozoshi to make sure he was okay her phone started to ring and it's startled her into dropping it. Once she picked it up Akiko notices it was a private number and she answered the phone.
" um hello is this Akiko Yuki?" The strange man on the other end asked
"Um yes this is she."
"I have some difficult news I must inform you on about SozoshiYurei"
"Oh my god is he okay?? Wait who are you?"
" I'm a Dr at Hosu General hospital, I'm sorry to inform you Mrs. Yuki but Sozoshi Yurei has been killed in a bank robbery that happened this evening. I'm very sorry for your loss-"

Just as the Dr finished informing her what happened Akikos world shattered. Her heart broke. She dropped the phone and was frozen there trying to process why she was just told... Akiko last knees gave out with the weight of the news she had revived and sobbed and sobbed...

Her whole world just changed with a single phone call... How can she do all this alone? He was her rock and their life just started together. So many things ran through her mind while she was still in a heap on the floor while silent tears stained her cheeks.

What will she do now?

*end of flash back*

As Akiko came back to the current life she was living, she noticed that Akemi was staring at her worried and pulling on her shirt. "M-mommy? A-are you Oka-ay?" Akemi asked her mom " Oh yes! Haha why wouldn't I be?" As she smiles down at her daughter. "You were crying..." Just then she felt her cheek and apologized for spacing out and said she was just remembering something sad that happened a while back is all. Akemi smiles at her mom and then left to go pester Bakougo. Once again.

'I think she enjoys the rise she gets out of him haha, hope he doesn't get too mad at her... should be fine, I mean Shai can float her away if needed.' Akiko thought to herself just as Shinso and Kirishima came over towards Akiko and looked at her with concerned expressions. Shinso hugged Akiko and it took her by surprise and "I'm so sorry Akiko, I didn't mean to bring that memory back up... and I know you miss him, I miss him too.." shinso said to her quietly. Akiko smiled " Yeah but at least everyday the pain is less and less. I'll always miss him and I know he meant a lot to you too. Sorry you had to see that haha.." Akiko said as she rubbed the back of her neck nervously.. Kirishima then took a small step forward and gave Akiko a hug as well, which took her by a even bigger surprise, not only for the fact they just met but due to the warmth she felt with his hug, a warmth she hasn't felt in years... not since Sozoshi. "Thank y-you, I'm sorry I only know you're hero name haha." Akiko said while still being hugged by Kirishima. As he released the hug he also noticed the warmth that was now missing as they pulled away. Kirishima stool his hand out towards Akiko and said with the biggest grin she had ever seen.
'That smile is almost as big as Akemis smile, but just as beautiful' Akiko thought to her self as Kirishima introduced himself "oh yes sorry! The name is Eijiro Kirishima! It is very nice to meet you, but I do wish it was on better terms haha" he said as he rubbed the back of his neck.
Akiko just smiled wide and said "Yes it was great meeting you as well but I too wish it could have been on better terms haha but that in the past! So let's move forward, yeah?" And shook Kirishimas hand. The hero's all got there coffees and teas and caught up with each other while Akemi sat with her uncle Toshi and listened to all of the great hero stories.

Akiko and Shai were standing behind the cash watching what was going on over at there booth. "So... weird day am I right?" Shai broke the silence. Akiko just shook her head a little " u-uh yes just a tad haha, but at least I made a new friend and Kemi is having a blast!" Akiko said back to her sister. " So....." Shai started saying before Akiko interrupted "so nothing..." Akiko stayed. " OH come on Kiko! I saw the look you got when hero boy hugged you... I haven't seen you  look that way in so long.." Shai informed her sister. Akiko looked to her sister confused but turned her head toward Akemi to see that she was sitting on Kirishimas lap now showing him how she can draw and telling him about her quirk and the rest of her families quirks. Akiko just smiled watching how sweet he was with her and how she showed her his quirk so she could feel it in person. " *cough* " Shai made loud enough for her sister to bring her attention back to her sisters smug face. "Oi, drop it" Akiko just said and shit her down. Shai nods not before saying "fine I'll drop it... for now." Akiko just rolled her eyes and went back to work along side her sister.

A little while later Kirishima and Bakougo where about to leave the caffe, when Kirishima ran towards Akiko to thank her. "T-thank you, ya know for not kicking us out for what happened.. also sorry about Bakougo over there he's, uh, Bakougo haha" he says as he smiles shyly. Akiko just smiled sweetly back at Kirishima " Honestly, I wasn't joking when I said it's in the past and to move forward. I'm okay really and it was super sweet of you to come and check on me once you done what you were done doing. And your always welcome to come back Kiri, and I wasn't joking when I said Pros get a free drink each visit haha" Akiko said as she point to a sign in her window. Kirishima smiles big when he heard a nickname come from Akiko. "Oh yay I gained a nickname! And I'll keep that in mind! Thank you again Yuki, hope you have a good rest of your night!" He then turns to Akemi and bends down to hug her "You be good for your mom and when I come back I can tell you more hero stories, yeah?" Akemi just Smiled the biggest smile she could muster and nodded excitedly before yelling goodbye to the hero's.

"So...." Shai starts. "SHUT it." Akiko cuts her off agin as she heads to the back, once she gets back there she brings a hand up to her chest and she thinks back the that fluttering feeling she had in her heart during her embrace with Eijiro...

'Haven't felt that in a long time...'
