Chapter Nine

Shai was up early, she made coffee and got ready for the day, she also got Akemis stuff together so she could take her to her moms house and then noticed the time and realized Akiko hasn't woken up yet 'strange... she's usually up by now... heh heh time for a wake up call...' with that thought Shai headed to Akikos room and was gunna scare the crap outta her sister just because why the heck not?

Shai burst through her sister door and yelled "YO! KIO! WAKE YOUR LAZY A-" and then stopped when Akiko sat straight up in a panic and someone else moved in the bed next to her. Akiko looked at her sister with sheer panic in her face then rage "WHAT IN THE ACTUAL HELL SHAI! You gave me a friggin heart attack..." she yelled back but at the end she quieted down to a almost whisper. Akiko felt movement from beside her and that's when she realized she passed out, in his arms. She looked down at the stirring Kirishima and then the full on blush crept to her cheeks and she hid her face in her hands. Akiko once she recovered from her blushing state decided to quickly escape her bed and let Kirishima sleep and pushed Shai out so she could get ready for work.

While Akiko was making breakfast for Kirishima and coffee she remembered that no one would be there to keep an eye on him... So when she went back in with the food and coffee waking him up she asked if she could call anyone to come by and keep him company till lunch. Kirishima said that Bakugo would most likely be the only one available to come keep him company. So she called him quickly walking out of her room.

The phone call:

B: Hey is shitty hair okay?
A: Good morning to you too, yes he's fine but I have to work this morning till lunch when Shai gets back from her exams, is there any chance you can come hangout with him in my apartment till then? I'll make you guys lunch and bring you coffees
B: Yeah sure I'll be there in an hour
A: Okay great! When you get here just come through the store and I'll let you up through the back
B: Okay see you soon coffee girl
A: Okay Bakuhoe
B: Tch

End of phone

Akiko went back into her room to discuss the plan with Kirishima. "Okay Eiji so bakuhoe is going to come and keep you company while I'm at work for bit okay? But please call or text me if you need anything and I'll be right up okay? " she said with a small smile because she really didn't want to leave him alone at all, she was worried about him. "Yeah that sounds good to me and no worries I'll let you know I promise" he said with a big reassuring smile that made her heart melt. "Okay.." "Hey um before you go to work can I ask you something quick?" He said with a small blush dusting his face "oh yeah sure what is it?" She said while leaning over towards him. Kirishima looked up at her and mumbled if he could get a glass of water but she didn't hear him and as she leaned a bit she lost her balance causing her to fall and with his quick reflexes caught her and pulled her into his chest so she didn't fall on the floor. "Oh my gosh are you okay?" He asked her worriedly and she nodded. She hid her face in her hands as she felt her blush start to rise and she wiggled quickly out of his grasp and scratched her cheek and apologized for her clumsiness he blushed a little and shook his head "No need to apologize honestly.." "mhmm okay, so what did you need before I run downstairs?" He looked at her with his head tilted a little and held his chin in thought 'why is he so damn cute all the time..' she thought to herself as he looked at her she tenses a little realizing she was starring at him and blushes. He smiled and laughed "I honestly don't remember.." he said with a sigh and she nodded "Okay so he will be here soon and I'll have him bring up coffee for you guys and some snacks form the cafe okay? So I'll see you soon! I'll check in with you to see if you need anything!" She said as she ran down the back stairs leaving Kirishima lone with his thoughts.

Akiko was down stairs awaiting the explosive hero, and was readying their coffees and some snacks and she remembered he liked spicy stuff so she made a special items for the day and it was chocolate chilli cupcakes. Once she had the bag of goodies for the two with their coffees he came into the cafe. "Hey." Bakugo said as he walked up to her "Hey so here's you coffees and some treats, I think you'll find something you rather like in there and it's a thank you for coming all the way down here." She said with a big smile on her face. "Don't worry about it, how's he doing?" "Oh he was fine when I left and I texted him a few minutes ago and he said he was bored haha" "Of course he is... Okay well shouldn't keep shitty hair waiting" he said as he took the tray of treats in coffee into his hands and she instructed him to through the back and he will find some stairs that go up into her apartment, and with that he was gone.

While Akiko is working Kirishima and Bakugo talk about how long he's off of work to recover from the villain attack and Bakugo asks him about how things Akiko are going. Kirishima admits to his best friend that he really likes her and might even love her and her daughter. He talks about how both are amazing and how sweet they both are and he really enjoys how funny Akemi is and is amazed at how bright she is and her determination to be hero is super manly. Kirishima even admits that he hopes one day he can see a future with them. He knows that his feelings for Akiko are stronger then they were for Mina. When ever she's around it feels like the whole world stops and it's just her and him and he wants to spend every minute of every day with her. This is something that he didn't feel with Mina and realized it was a small crush which that ended badly cuz she chose shinso over him after playing with them both. But he was happy she was, he's still one of his closest friends.

It was right around 1 when Shai came back to work to relive Akiko so she can go take care of Kirishima and let Bakugo go home and rest before he has patrol. Akiko then headed upstairs with more coffee in her hands for the boys up stairs. Once she got upstairs she went into the living room where she found both of them just chatting and watching tv, they didn't hear her come up and she just knocked on the door frame and caught there attention. "H-how long have you been standing there" Kirishima asks nervously and Bakugo chuckled a little at the slight amusement he was feeling, seeing him act like he did in UA. "Oh I literally just came up, I got you guys some coffee and I'm going to make you some lunch okay?" Akiko smiled at them and Kirishima blushed and smiled "Tch, just sit other shitty hair. You have been working all morning... I'll make the shitty lunch." Bakugo said as he was about to get up Akiko started waving her hands around in front of her "N-no! Sit please I am going to make it. It's the least I could do since I got you to come all the way here. Please just relax." Akiko smiled after while rubbing the back of her neck. "O-oh question, w-what did you think of the cupcakes?" Akiko suddenly asked Bakugo "Tch. They weren't terrible..." he grumbled back, Kirishima let out a breathy laugh "Oh please Bakubro, you ate most of them as soon as you came up here." He said with a giggle "Oh yay! I'm so happy! I now have a new baked good to add to our menu!" Akiko said excitedly then quickly spun on her heals and went into the kitchen. Bakugo glared at his red headed friend for outing him on how much he loved the damn cupcakes. "Damn it shitty hair why did you say something like that!" He yelled "Because she deserved to know the truth, also now that's going to regular in the shop bro!" He said with his toothy grin. "Tch... Whatever..." "... You want me to bring you one or two whenever I come in?..." Kirishima asked and Bakugo gave a simple nod.

Akiko came back out to the living room with three bowls of ramen for them and sat them down in front of the boys and one to the side for her self. Kirishima noticed the bento in her arms and that Bakugos ramen was really red. "Oh why you got a bento? Also why is his really red?" Kirishima asked and she smiled and handed the bento to Bakugo "I deceived to make him something for while patrolling incase he doesn't get a chance to stop to eat also his is more red because I made it extra spicy with hot oil." She smiled at them and sat down and started to eat after a quick prayer. The boys did the same. Kirishima and Bakugo both released satisfied nosies as they devoured their ramen. Akiko watched in shock at how fast the food was eaten. "Um well I'm glad you liked it..?" She said more as question while slowly eating her own. "I'm sorry I couldn't stop once I tasted it! It was amazing the most manly ramen I have ever had!" Kirishima beamed at her. "I mean yeah it's decent... the spice was perfect..." Bakugo said, but the last part was mostly a whisper. "Oh I'm glad!" Akikos beamed back at them "O-oh! I almost forgot!" She said as she ran to the kitchen then back again and handed the coffees to them and handed a small jar to Bakugo "The fuck is this shit?" He questioned as he looked at it suspiciously "Its called hot oil. You add it to your food to make it spicey. The more you add the hotter it gets" she explained and he had a small smirk "my mom used to give this to me to keep in my locker for lunch rushes food. He never made it spicey enough, i think you helped me figure out what my mothers secret ingredient is in all of her spicy dishes she makes." He said with a smirk.

Bakugo soon left and it was just the two alone. Akiko and Kirishima were sitting on the couch watching and anime and Akiko soon felt a weight on her shoulder. She looked over to see that Kirishima had fallen asleep. She smiled and slowly moved his head to be laying on her lap so he would be more comfortable. She started to run her fingers through his hair causing him to turn and snuggle into her waist. Akiko froze at his sudden movements but soon continued to run her fingers through his soft hair. She looked down at him seeing him sleeping peacefully warming her heart, she brushed his bangs out of his face and leaned down and placed a kiss to his forehead. She smiled and leaned back I got he couch continuously twirling his hair between her fingers causing her to relax more and was soon falling asleep with her thoughts.

'I think I love him...' and with that Akiko was asleep.
