Chapter 5: First day

ALEC'S POV

Today is my first day here at Prix academy and I have to admit it I miss home, mom and definitely Roxy. I wan to hug her right now since I used to hug her every night before going to sleep to remind her that I will always be there for her yet now I could not fullfil my promise. I'm sorry Alexis but I need to find our brother and make sure that he is safe moreover alive.

Knock Knock knock...

I was disturbed by the series of knocks coming from the window. I already finished dressing up and managed to wake up early more like 4:30 am and now it's 5:43 am I must head down for breakfast.

6:00am is my first subject and I think i'm going to be late.

I ignored the knocks thinking that it would just be the birds outside.

I was about toopen the door when the window slightly moved open and i was now on guard on what might happened.

I saw a sihllouette of a woman. I think I recognize her figure somewhere? But nevertheless I picked up my pocket knife that was given to me and Roxanne when we were 5 years old by our father and wherever we go we always have it with us.

I was so distracted by the beating of my heart as I was so nervous that I might be the next target after kuya Xavier but it supprised me a lot when she suddenly was infront of me... hugging me.

"Anak..." then I felt a ew of my tears fall as she cried still hugging me tightly like if she was afraid of losing me.

"M-mom what are you doing here?" I managed to say as I hugged her back. Oh how much I miss mom. I've never been away from home and I always see mom eventhough she has work to do.

Whenever she has a mission around the world we would always come with her. At first it was hard since she would struggle if we were in danger but she knows that we can handle ourselves. It started when dad died. we would always tail along with mom.

She let go of me and i saw how serious her face turned.

"How dare you sneak out of the house without saying goodbye to me and your sister?"

she said and playfully smacked my hand. Although ganyan si mommy pag narinig mo ang seryosong tinig niya kahit naka poker face lang ito matatakot ka kaagad kaya hindi pa namanin nakitang si mom na nagalit ang mukha more like frustrated pero yung sinasabi ni dad na nakakatakot talaga.

"I did leave a note mom. Tell Roxy to open the UV light in my room."

I said with a serious tone yet natatakot din ako baka naman magalit siya sa akin ngayon.

"I'm not angry just don't leave us like that. Do you know what Roxy feels after knowing na mawawalan lang siya ulit ng kapatid na kasama sa bahay?"

"Mom hindi nawala si kuya xavier. He is still alive that is why I'm doing my best to save him."

"I know anak but why do it yourself when you have your mother and sister to help you."

"I just thought na magagalit ka lang kapag nagpaalam pa ako lalo na kahapon nakita ko sa mata mo na mukhang napapagod kana kakahanap kay kuya. May trabaho kapa at ayaw kong marinig na lagi kang umiiyak gabi gabi.

"Does Roxy know?" sabi ni mom, I nodded my head.

"Is that why she keeps bothering me to hand your kuya's mission to the both of you?" tanong niya ulit. I just nodded my head, again afraid I might get scolded.

"Well ... since your already here I think I should plan well."

I looked at her curiously as I tried to give her my 'what do you mean look'.
