Jane finally decided to text back right after I finished changing. He said, "Sure. Where?" So I invited him to the restaurant. Mrs. Liz and my mom were mad about it at first, but I told them that I will just talk to him real quick then he will leave. I ended up changing into some high waisted jeans and a shirt that says, 'Model Baby'. The manager gave it to me. "That is still a very funny shirt." Corrin says while laughing. "Yeah, yeah. I wanted to support the modeling agency so the manager will like me." I say. Corrin laughs even harder. I just roll my eyes and keep walking. "Hey! Diamond, wait!" I turn around to see James running full speed over to me. "What do you want?" I say once he gets to me. "Don't tell me that you felt nothing during our photoshoot." James says. "It wasn't OUR photoshoot, it was MY photoshoot. You were just there to make me look good." I correct. "Well what a good job I did because Sam asked me to work full time with you." James replies in a confident voice. "Why on earth do you have to mess up everything!" I yell bitterly. I swiftly turn around, but he grabs my waist and pulls me back. "Okay, Diamond, I know I cheated on you and that was a big mistake. Everyday I TRY to talk to you and TRY to make it better between us, but every single time you just push me away. So if you really hate me and want me to leave you alone and quit the job of my dreams then, yeah, I will, if that is what will make you happy. Just say the word and I will leave you alone." James blurts. I look into his eyes and his eyes are glassy. Just a few words and I can have James leave me alone forever. But now that he has tested me, I realize I really don't want him out of my life. To be honest, I like how he treats me even though I always spit at him and ignore him. "James... I don't hate you, okay? I don't hate you." I start. As I start talking Corrin tip-toes away so she can leave us alone. I pretend I don't notice even though I could hear her feet slapping against the ground. "Honestly, I like the way you treat me even though I am always mean to you. What we had was special, but you cheated on me...and that really messed up everything." I say. "I know...I know. I'm sorry, Diamond, I really am. It was a stupid mistake and I wish I could just go back and erase it. Loosing you was just horrible for me, I would honestly do anything...anything to get you back." James says. His face is bright red and so are his eyes. It looks like he is about to cry, and I bet that is how I look also. "Ja-" I get cut off by the ringtone of my cell phone. I take my phone out to see who it is. Jane. My finger hovers over the green answer button. James is still standing there, probably expecting me to decline the call. I think it is really funny how you can take out the N and replace it with a M, then add a S at the end in Jane's name to get the name James. That must be some kind of sign...only if I knew which way it is supposed to go. I must've spaced out because when I finally land back on Earth, I realize that my phone had stopped ringing. I look up at James who is still standing there like a thirsty dog waiting for me to feed him with my comment on what he just said. "I don't know, James." I say as I look to the side. "Look, I got to go. I'll see you at tomorrow's photoshoot or something." I walk away, heading to Corrin who is waiting for me by the snacks table. While I make my way over there I just think to myself about this whole situation. Is it weird that Jane and I got in a fight the day before James spills his feelings for me? Or am I just stressing? I feel like Jane and James are pulling my arms from two different sides and maybe...just maybe...James might be winning so far. "Hey. Good talk?" Corrin asks once I get closer to her. "Kind of." I respond.

.....

"Diamond!" I walk into the restaurant where all of my friends are waiting for me, and I mean ALL of my friends! I can't believe that the restaurant let all of these people in here. Probably because I'm a model now and because it also means the restaurant makes more money from all these people being here. I notice that Persy is there, which means Jane must be here too. He isn't at the table though. "Why don't y'all go sit down, I'm going to find Jane." I tell Mrs. Liz, Corrin, and my mom. "Why don't you ask Persy? She probably knows where he is." My mom replies. "Yeah, you are probably right." I say back. I walk over to Persy with Corrin behind me, probably eager to meet some more people from the school. "Hey, Persy. Where is James?" I ask. "He was waiting by the door for you. You didn't see him?" Persy says. "I don't think I saw him...let me go look again." I turn around and see Corrin still smiling. "Oh right, Persy this is Corrin. Corrin this is Persy. Corrin, Persy doesn't go to our school though. Persy, Corrin is a new kid at our school, she is also a model and that is how I met her. Okay, got to go." I dash off to the door. Jane isn't the only one by the door though. "Uhh...James?" I say confused. "I really need to talk to you." James says. "Yeah, well I also have to talk to you, Diamond." Jane says. I know I probably should talk to Jane because he is my boyfriend, but I want to hear what James has to say. I think I might be having mixed feelings about James. "Come on, Diamond. I need to talk to you, and I think I'm more important." Jane says irritated. "Well, aren't you a cocky, little guy?" James asks.
