"So Irene, what did you want to discuss with me that was so urgent?" Minyeong asked, bouncing the puppy in his arms as he took a seat. He played with the puppy's feet, tickling his tummy as Irene sighed, calling his name in a serious tone.
"Sorry, I'm listening,"
"It's about what happened when we went to the bar...you got drunk and said some things that made me question whether you truly hate those who dd you wrong." Irene spoke softly, rocking her pups to sleep, shushing him softly.
"Irene, whatever your thinking is wrong. I hate them, they killed Xingshu, they betrayed me for what? I haven't done anything wrong. I didn't do anything to them!" Minyeong raised his voice, causing the pup to stir and cry a bit. Minyeong immediately went quiet and shushed the pup, kissing his head and rocking him. He mumbled a sorry to the puppy before looking up at Irene who stared at him.
"Minyeong, you said something when you were at he counter of the bar. You were drunk and completely out of your mind, but alcohol brings the truth out of people. You said...you said "That all you could think of were Yoongi's lips-"
"Your lying! I hate him! I hate all of them!"
"Listen to me! You said it last night! You can't sit here and lie to me when I was there and heard you say it. Don't bullshit me, I'm not an idiot, the look in your eyes were nothing but sadness. You still have something there for them in your heart. I know that look. Tell me how you feel about them, how you truly feel." Irene touched his shoulder, squeezing it softly.
Minyeong looked down, staring at his feet, he honestly didn't know why he felt like this.
"I..I don't know..I want to hate them, but I can't..they did me wrong, their even apart of the race that killed Xingshu..but I can't find it in me to hate them and I don't know why.." Minyeong's shoulders shook, trying to control his emotions.
"Hey..it's okay to still trust them, you know? Maybe it's just somewhere that you still have hope for them, and that's okay. I know Jackson wouldn't say the same, but ignore him. You do what you want to do about them, if you want to try and have them gain your trust, then you can. If you don't, then you don't have to. Just think about it, try seeing how you truly feel." Irene advised him, and Minyeong sighed.
"And what if I do trust them? And then they go behind my back again and betray me? What then? What would I do?" Minyeong asked, staring up at Irene with tear-filled eyes, and Irene cooed, putting her sleeping pup down so she could bring Minyeong into a hug, rubbing his back.
"If they hurt you again, I will personally send my pups after them to rip off their heads from their shoulders, okay? I won't let them hurt you again, I'll be behind you the entire way, alright? I love you kid, I'm here to support you." Irene let Minyeong stay in her hold for a few minutes, comforting the poor boy, not letting go until he was okay.
"And don't give your precious little servants too much of a hard time, okay? They have it rough losing one of their superiors. Everything is going to be okay soon, I promise." Irene pulled away and looked at Minyeong's puffy eyes, noticing the red swirling over half of his irises.
"Minyeong? When did your eyes change?"
