Hadley helped me clean the whole downstairs, which took a bit of time. But we did it, we were now in the living room, my home was now clean. Sort of, the outside looked like shit and the upstairs to kind of, but what can you do?
"What are you going to do with the outside?" Hadley asked
"I don't know, leave it. Make it kind of seem like no one lives here still" I shrug drinking a juice box, we can't drink beer. Hazel is in the house
"Well, that's hard to do, when you go in and out of the house and you have a real nice 2009 Dodge Challenger STR-8" she laughs
"How do you know what car I have?" I ask looking at her
"My brother and his best friend are really into cars and being around them and your own father since you could walk, you pick up a thing or two" she laughs
"My father was big on cars as well. Just was never allowed to be around it, was not in my parent's morals for a female to be doing a man's job, her rightful place was in the kitchen" I roll my eyes staring out the big bay window in front of me
"Your folks were the old fashion type I see" nodding I sigh
"Yep, religion was everything to them and I was the rebellious kid of the family" I laugh "And I wouldn't change that for the world, because I wouldn't have her" I look over at Hazel. She was playing with a box of dolls I found in my old room

"Aww, Tessa look what I found" my mother held a box of dolls up "You haven't played with these in years" my mom continued into my room setting the box next to my bed
"I'm 14 moms, I'm a teenager. Not a little kid" I roll my eyes
"Don't roll your eyes at me young lady" she scolded me
"Can I go to June's house?" I ask turning to her laying on my back "Its Friday night mother, not a school night, and you love June"
"Ok, but be back by noon tomorrow"
"I can do that" I squeal jumping up and running to my already packed bag
"No squealing, it's not lady like" my mother scolds more
"Bye" I yell running out the door

"Tes? Tessa? Hello?" I snap my head to Hadley "You zoned out"
"Mama does that from time to time" Hazel piped up looking over at us, the dolls long forgotten
"You do? What do you think about when these episodes happen?" I keep quiet "You don't have to answer" I nod and look back out the bay window
"I'm bored. These dolls are so stupid" Hazel says tossing them in box
"Hazel, want McDonald's?" I ask. She jumps up and squeals
"Yes!"
"I better get home, or my brother is going to freak"
"We'll have a nice day" I say as she walks off the porch "Let us go Haz" with that we head to town for food
