"You have my word."

I let myself drop into the couch of my office. What the hell has been happening lately. Am I losing it? I feel like I'm some character in a k-drama or a terribly written fan fiction. There is no way that Seulgi likes me. She never showed any romantic interest. Not to mention that she actually friend-zoned me multiple times. Is this a game to her? Is it because Seungwan likes me?

I know they have been competing for my attention ever since they met each other.

"Seul, I met this girl. She's honestly perfect. I want you to meet her" Seulgi knows I'm not the best at making friends, although I could easily read discomfort through her half-hearted eye smile, she still agreed to join me to meet my new friend.

Once we arrived at my favorite cafe, Wendy was already seated. Once Seulgi noticed the girl, she turned around, almost storming out of the restaurant. Luckily, I got to stop her right before. "Please, for me. We can leave after we ate some pie," I begged. Call it foul play all you want. However, this would be the only way of getting the girl to go through with our plans. I'm as weak for her as she is for me. Shouldn't we be used to this by now? We should, but we're not. Every time she gives me 'the' look, I know I have to go through with her plans and vice versa.

"Seung-wan," I waved excitedly to the younger girl while she stood up to embrace me. Once her eyes fell on the brown-haired girl, who was hiding behind me, she shifted uncomfortably. "Y-you must be Seulgi. Irene talks about you a lot" she extended her hand towards the other girl. Seulgi just nodded her head and sat down. "And your name was? I just heard your name today for the first time" she probably didn't mean to be rude, right. The blond-girl sat down as well. "Yea, we haven't been friends for all too long. My name is Seung-wan, but please call me Wendy" A fake smile portrays her face. "Hmm, sure whatever. We should order," I shouldn't have told her we would leave after we have eaten. "Why are you being so rude to her" I whispered to Seulgi, followed by her raising her shoulders and dramatically huffing.

Seung-wan called over the waiter. "One frappe with Kahlúa, please. Irene, you should try one; it's the perfect combination of coffee and alcohol," she explained as if she had come up with the idea herself. "Baechu doesn't drink coffee," Seulgi arrogantly chuckled. "Do you even know her?"

"Yes, I would love to try it. Wouldn't kill me, right" I thoroughly brushed of Seulgi's previous comment. "I'm sorry I didn't know you didn't like coffee. Last time we met, I gave you coffee too, I'm a fool," she jokingly hit her forehead. "They also sell mint tea with bourbon; it's their specialty tea," she explained, trying to undo her mistake from before. "That sounds great! I'll have that" Seulgi ordered a cappuccino and two pieces of red velvet cake for the both of us. "So how long have you known each other?" The lawyer-in-training asked Seulgi formally. "Every since we were like 4ish, we have basically been married ever since" the conversation died after a few more exchanges of words. Once the waiter arrived with our food and drinks, everyone continued to focus on the cup in front of them.

"They didn't even check our ID here," I noticed, chuckling. "Yea, I used to come here often with my dad, and ever since they just give me whatever I want," Seungwan explains. "I finished my cake. Let's go to our dorm," Seulgi interrupted, pulling my arm. "Seulgi-ssi, you can go if I make you feel uncomfortable. But I think Joohyun unnie is old enough to make her own decisions," Wendy argues.

"So what is it going to be, hyunie? Me or her?" The brown-haired girl asked, overly confident.

You might be wondering what and who did I end up choosing. And you are a complete fool if you think I stayed. So because I decided Seungwan over Seulgi for the first time, maybe this goes against what she is used to. She doesn't want to be my second favorite person. She wants me for herself. That would explain her behavior. Does she see me as some kind of game. She either wins or loses. Yet losing is no option for the bear-like girl. I let my head fall on my desk, and tears started to slowly escape my eyes.

Should I give up now?

I don't want to. I have never been this close to achieving what I wanted. But why does it not feel right? Soft knocks on my office door woke me up from my thoughts. "Just a minute," I quickly whipped away my tears, fixed my make up and let the person in front of my office in.

"Joohyunssi, Taeyeon sajangnim wants to see you in her office" I nodded to my assistant and slowly grabbed everything I needed before leaving my office. As I was walking towards the elevator, I passed the training area. I stopped for a second at RV's dance studio. The girls are getting ready for the yearly KT events, and they all obviously look exhausted. Some of the girls noticed me, so before the bear-like girl I am obviously avoiding does, I rushed to the elevator. These girls deserve a motivating gift, and what would better than food and drinks. So I went ahead and ordered them enough food and drinks to survive the day.

Now let's face Taeyeon. As I walked inside her office, Taeyeon gave me one of her famous smiles. "So...."

"Oh no, that's never a good start. What do you need" I asked, joking around. "Auditions are soon, and KT events are soon," she started. "Well, I'm obviously going to be present at both," knowing all too well this was not about that. "Fans have been obviously asked about you for quite a while with your visuals. They can't understand how you're only a manager, and I know you sing/dance too."

"No, my answer is absolutely no" Taeyeon did not even have to respond for me to know that she was not gonna settle for no. "It's only for the KT events to draw the biggest ever audience, Bogum is singing too" I can't get out of this. "Okay, okay, what exactly do you want me to do?" I received a message that the food would be here in 10 minutes, so I guess I just have to accept this and get out of here before that. "Simple. They like your & Seulgi's chemistry. So a performance with her will work, thank you" she is definitely setting me up now. ''Just to be sure, you are only doing this to draw attention, right?'' of course, she is not. Although she is the KT owner, she is also my friend, and this was definitely a move to get Seulgi and me in a room.

''Sure, whatever you believe,'' She said, shrugging me off. Everyone seems to be against me in one way or another. I received a message that the food has arrived. ''I need to go, but we're talking about this later'' I said, strictly pointing my fingers towards her. ''You agreed there is no going back, Joohyun,'' She said after I walked out of her office. Fuck she is right. This is going to be awkward, especially with how our friendship has progressed. I brushed the thought off and picked up the food. I paused in front of the practice room and took a few deep breaths. Before opening the door myself, it got pulled open, making me stumble down a bit. ''Kang, your girlfriend's here'' Momo, one of the dancers, yelled.

''I am your manager'' I argued while adjusting my position. she mumbled a few yeah's before walking out. ''I brought food for everyone'' I said while walking to the middle of the room. Everyone ran towards me and sat on the ground, beginning their feist. While Seulgi watched me from afar. ''Seul, come eat'' I said, calling her over. She walked towards me and pulled me outside. ''I will skip this meal and cook for US at home. If you decide not to come, I won't eat'' Is she blackmailing me? ''Don't be childish'' She pulled me closer to her until our faces were only an inch apart.

''I am not being childish. I am holding my end of the promise,'' She said, kissing my nose and walking back to the practice room, leaving me frozen in place. She wants me for herself, and she is definitely winning.

I am sorry for not updating for so long. I just don't have any inspiration. Also, school, so I am sorry.
