Madison's POV
I held my hand tightly while we got out of the car. "Get ready to meet the family." Rosa exclaims while Victor was unlocking the door and opening it for us.

"We're home!" Rosa yelled but there was not a single soul downstairs but there was when I heard someone yelling at their computer. I turned around to see a little boy with headphones on his ears, staring down at his computer. "That's what happens when you suck!" He yelled.

"So much for the welcome party." Victor mutters, sarcastically. "I'm so sorry, Maddie. That thing growing out of the couch would be Eugene."

"Oh my god. Is that her?! Maddie!" A little girl wearing her hair into two buns and had round glasses on runs to me. "Woah, slow down. Slow down." Victor asked her.

She runs up to me and hugs me around my middle. She made me laugh while I knelt down to her level and politely shook her hand. "Hi I'm Madison Grace Carter. It's a pleasure to meet you."

"Hey Freddy, do you know where my beanie went?" Another voice spoke up. It sounded familiar. That's when I set my bag down and came face to face with my old foster brother. Billy. "M-M-Maddie?" Billy stutters. "B-B-Billy?" I yelled with a smile. He ran to me and embraced me in a huge hug that almost knocked me down.

"It's been almost ten years since we last saw each other. I missed you so much." I laugh at him. "Where have you been all this time?" He asked making my smile drop.

He scrunches his face together, looking at me confused. "Oh my god, I am so sorry!" He hugs me tightly again while I let little tears pour down my face and into his shirt.

"You two know each other?" Rosa asked us. "Yeah, Mads used to be my foster sister until I..." Billy didn't finish the sentence but I finished it for him. "Before he ran away." Billy had his arm around my neck and I looked down, it was quiet and was awkward until Darla broke the silence.

"Maddie, I have to complete your poster. Come look." She grabs my hand and guides me into the dining room where there is a pink poster saying welcome home new sister but it had dumbbells on it. "Oh no! Sorry Pedro must've been working out. His job is to get swole." She whines. Rosa comes over and try's to help her but she already rips a corner off and slowly hands it to me.

"Here." She whispers to me, whip I gave her a look feeling sorry for her. "Yes. Exactly why your math is so uniquely designed for me." A girl that was about four years older than me was on the phone and introduced herself to me. "I'm sorry. Mary, hi. It's nice to meet you." She smiles widely at me. "I'm Madison." I gave a small smile.

She didn't hear me because she went back on the phone and of course, I didn't want to interrupt her. "What am I'm most excited about?" She mouths a few things before Victor told her. "Mention your a foster kid. Colleges eat that up." Mary had fist bumped Victor and went into the other room.
