Me being the idiot I am decided to rewatch the Cult of Chucky at midnight and now I can't sleep so I wrote this, I'll edit/publish tmrw

Catra POV

"So, uh wildcat. I need to talk to you, is this seat taken?" Scorpia approached Catra on the bus ride home from school Friday. She merely shrugged and scooted over to make room for the larger girl. "I'm not sure if you know this but uh, I'm on the football team and the first game is actually the Thursday after the election! So if you, uh..." Catra sighed wearily.

"I dunno, school spirit isn't really my thing, but I guess I'll try to come " Scorpias eyes grew the size of dinner plates and all of the sudden Catra found herself enveloped in a giant hug. "Okayyyyyy What did we say about the touching" she pushed the girl away from and quickly wedged herself back against the side of the bus.

"Sorry! I'm just so excited and... there's one more thing" Catra rolled her eyes. This was the thing with having 'friends' you were expected to listen to them. To be kind to them. Both things Catra had little patience for.

"Go for it"

"The homecoming dance is the day after and I was wondering if you maybe wanted to go with me? As friends of course! I just figured since you didn't have a date or well...yanno other friends" Catra scowled at that, causing Scorpia to become even more flustered. "And I don't really have anyone to go with either. I mean I could go with the football team but their so-" the bus came to a creaky stop and Catra had already grabbed her bag and was standing up.

"I'll pick you up at seven" were her last words before she left an almost ecstatic Scorpia in her seat.

Catra felt weird about saying she would to go to homecoming with Scorpia. It's not that she didn't like Scorpia. She had actually grown kind of fond of the big, teddy bear like girl who had forced her way into Catra's life. The fact was, Catra felt weird about going to any school events. Or events period. And, Scorpia seemed to like Catra a bit too much. Catra wasn't the friendliest person ever yet Scorpia still went out of her way to be kind to her. As much as Catra appreciated it, she was wary. No way would anyone hang out with Catra by choice. She must want something. Something big if it meant practically shadowing Catra for the past few weeks.

It was these thoughts that accompanied Catra on her dreary walk "home". The familiar neighborhood still caused a spider-like feeling to creep up her spine. It was the dead mouse on the sidewalk that carried the stench of death to the girls nose. It was the smell of drugs, alchohal and the sight of a certain shabby house she called "home" that caused her brave posture to diminish and her long strides to shorten. Catra stopped in her tracks before sighing and walking forward.  Only the echo of a door slamming shut could be heard behind her.

Glimmer POV 1 Week Later

She won. She won the election. Glimmer is the student council president. She was ecstatic. Most people's mood would be dimmed by the fact that the only reason she won was because her biggest competitor was missing, but that didn't matter to Glimmer. She was focused on her next  step; planning homecoming. Only, a certain blonde seemed unable to focus.

"Bow, I don't get it! She's too prideful to quit anything! Especially something this big! And she's been gone for a whole week! What if something happened to her!" Adora was pacing frantically outside, ranting her concerns to Bow, who was doing his best to calm the worried girl.

"Shhh calm down, I'm sure she's fine she probably just..." Bow trailed off, searching for a believable reason Catra could be gone.

"Relax, she's probably skipping. You know how much she hates school. I told you she's a hooligan" Glimmer stated "Now, you guys could at least pretend to be happy for my win?"

"SHE'S NOT A HOOLIGAN!" Adora shouted. Bow sighed, all too familiar with the conversation to follow.

Scorpia POV , About a Week after that

Scorpia's team won the homecoming game. But it was hard for her to be excited about it. She was worried, angry, sad, and a whole lot of emotions the happy girl rather disliked. Most of all she was scared. What happened to Catra? She had been missing from school for almost two weeks. Was she okay? Scorpia couldn't help but be a little disappointed about having to forfeit from the election and having her best friend miss seeing her play, but she was also angry. Mad at Catra for making her worry so much.

Scorpia slowly decided to get ready for the homecoming dance. Just in case, by some miracle, Catra chose today to come back. She supposed she could go with her friend Perfuma on the cheersquad, who she had been sitting with at lunch in Catra's absence, and who had invited Scorpia to go with her friends.

Scorpia slipped on a tight, elegant black dress and applied a little bit of makeup, something she did rarely due to the precision required to use the small make up brushes. Something her large hands always had trouble doing. When she looked in the full length mirror on her room, she smiled a bit. She felt pretty. She twirled around, liking the way her dress ballooned out at her feet. Then she laughed. A surprising, gleeful, laugh.

"Scorpia! Someones at the door!" Her mom called from down stairs. Scorpia slipped on two red flats, not bothering with heels, and trotted down the stairs. Her heart racing, could the person at the door be.... "Aw Scorpia, honey you look beautiful!" Her mother fawned.

"Thanks mom!" Scorpia exclaimed, then stopped in her tracks when she saw who was at the doorway. She gasped. And stared in shock. Not only was the formerly missing person right here, but she looked amazing. In a crimson suit that made her look godly.

"What? Your not still mad about missing the election and game or whatever, are you? Get over i-'" her words were cut off by a giant hug from the larger girl.

"I missed you" Scorpia mumbled.

"Yeah, whatever. Missed you too I guess" Scorpia wanted to ask so many questions. But she knew that Catra wouldn't tell her anything anyway. She didn't want to pry and make the girl uncomfortable because whatever had happened, changed the girls tall, confident posture to that of a slouch, as if she barely had the energy to wake up today. So Scorpia didn't ask questions. She just hugged her.

Hi guys! Please remember to vote! I'm going to publish part 2 really soon. It's going to be relatively short and from Catra's perspective of the past two weeks. I do not own the She ra characters and the cover art is not mine. I know life can be tough but please remember to drink water and eat some food! Have a good day!💖💕
