Before anyone knew it, Hae Jung and Kai started to have usual everyday talking. It saddens him to see that she didn't smile again after that day in the courtyard, but at least she talked to him more.

He spent time away from EXO a lot more too because he couldn't handle Chen's constant warnings about her. Even his other friends in the gang warned him not to get close to her.

"Listen to us, Kai! If Chen says that Hae Jung is dangerous to us, then she is dangerous."

Kai was exiting the classroom for the day was over. He was really irritated how his friends could say that about a sweet girl like Hae Jung. He thinks she is different than the other girls he has been surrounded by since he started middle school. And she was the girl who Kai really has a crush on. He turned towards his hyungs and dongsaeng to confront them.

"Look, I think Chen got his senses mixed up. Hae Jung has been the nucest peraon since she came here. I don't understanf why you're saying she is dangerous. She's a normal human being who has an innocent personality. For all we know, Chen Hyung may be just trying to date her!"

At the mention of that, Chen scoffed while crossing his arms and looked at his dongsaeng with such disbelief on his face. He walked to the front of his gang and was face to face with Kai.

"I may be a playboy Kai, but when I sense someone near the red zone, I don't give shit on messing with them. That Hae Jung girl isn't even my type and we all know you like her. I ain't like that. I'm not someone who tries to steal their friends girl."

The two started to glare at each other and no other words were spoken between them. It didn't last long, thankfully, because Baekhyun broke them up, feeling they would have a one on one.

The rest came to help as Bakhyun wasnt strong enough to hold them back. Some wolf.. Chen backed off and just turned away to get his things. He wasn't one to pick fights, especially with his gang.

"Just stop you two. It's a harvest moon tonight so we need to be extra cautious about the other supernatural beings. Let's hurry on home."

Without another word from Xiumin's orders, they followed him back to where they lived, deep in the forest.

Hae Jung stayed behind after school due to her club activities she joined. Today was her sports club meeting which she took on volleyball. The team had been very happy to see an amazing player had joined the group. Plus, they were feeling as if they needed new teammates to win tournaments.

It didnt seem like it, but Hae Jung enjoyed being on the volleyball team. It felt refreshing to her. Beside that, she.joined other sports like tennis and track.She specifically chose her activities to fit her schedule and if they ever overlapped one another, she would go to the most important one.

The team celebrated their wonderful practice that has never happened in years at a restaurant. The team captain, Ayana, invited her to go withbthem but ahe refused the offer, saying she felt really tired. Not pressuring her anymore, Ayana bud adieu to Har Jung and left with thw rest.

It was already at sundown when she was nearly halfway home. The walk to her house was far more longer than it was all the other days. She felt really heavy and could knock out any second.

By the time she got home, the moon was rising into its perfect angles. Hae Jung went inside her house and collapsed onto the living room sofa. All of her energy had been drained but she had just enough energy to go wash upbfor a goodnight rest.

EXO took off their clothes as the harvest moon was going to make its alignment any second now. Today was the day where their transformation would be the most difficult and their senses would be at its highest. They all spread out into a different direction so each one could have their free run and look out for any outsiders.

When the moon was at its peak, they began transforming into their wolf side. With all thatbdone, Xiumin signalled them for a free time of their own and when they were done, go home when its safe. He knew during this time, a lot of hunters also gather for any unusual sights in the forest.

Some of thwm decided to form pairs and go hunting on their own. Kai went with Baekhyun to hunt near a lake. He didn't feel like being with anyone but Baekhyun insisted on pairing with him so he wouldn't be lonely.

Usually, Kai and Chen would stay with each other and set up traps for their gang but because of the situation they are in now, it's not happening tonight.

Chen decided he would spend his own time around the wntrance of the frest because if hunters ever did show up, they would never think of searching around there. Or so he thought.

When he neared around the trail, he heard loud whimpers and hushed whispers. To not get caught, Chen hid behind a bush and peeked through it carefully.

"My, a fox on the harvest moon! Ain't we lucky, hyung."

One of the men exclaimed. The other nodded as they both looked onto the floor in front of them. A white fox lay injured, blood possibly stream down its face.

He felt something inside him wanting to help the poor fox, but he couldn't. They were nothing but killing beasts to him. He could care less for them but in this situation.. he wanted to help. Of course he didn't like them but he couldn't let them die either. That's too cruel. And this fox was someone he knew for too long.

As a distraction, he grabbed a few rocks by his mouth and flung them acroos the other side. As expected, the hunters looked in that direction and were  deciphering whether to go and check it out or not.

With a little regret, he howled into the night quietly to make it se like he farthervinto thw woods. With hesitation, the men ran into the forest as Chen quickly dashed towards the fox.

Slowly grabbing it by the collar with his teeth, he dragged it to the nearest lake point and rest the fox there. A howl resonated through the whole forest and he knew it was Chanyeol's.

Tell the guys I wont be home tonight.

Chen told Chanyeol through his mind. He would feel guilt for just leaving this fox out here. He knew the fox more then it did itself. Not before long, Xiumin's voice echoed throufh his head.

Where are you? Why won't you be home, Chen?

It was obvious that Xiumin was angry at least. He never let anyone roam around the night after their time as a wolf during the harvest moon. It does crazy wonders to supernatural beings and he doesn't want to risk it.

With a sigh, he ran back to the spot where his gang had started, and retrieved his clothes. He came running back as fast as he could so that no one coyld take his fox friend away.

He sighed in relief and changed into human form and put his clothes back on. He sat criss cross on the ground next to the unconscious fox and stared at the fox. Chen noticed the little scar behind the fox's ear. While tracing over it, he smiled a bit at the memories.

Before blocking out his thoughts and carrying the fox in his arms, he replied to Xiumin feeling he will be highly interrogated by his members.
