Time gone by

I coughed as a blast of warm air hit me. I shivered with the changing temperatures and slowly started moving. Where was I? As my eyesight focused, i started to sit up but a sharp pain in the back of my neck caused me to quickly lay down again.
"Urgh... why do i feel like shit?" i question my self, not waiting for a reply. I look on both sides of me and saw that chunks of ice were surrounding my legs and melting off my arms and hands. I forcefully tug at the ice surrounding my arms. Once I broke free of the ice on my arms I start pulling out of the ice on my feet which, thankfully, broke off within just a few pulls.   
I slowly try to get up again and actually succeeded this time. I look around the room and was surprised to spot someone very familiar looking down at me with a piece of paper crumpled in her hands. My sist... MY SISTER!! I quickly tried to get up and almost tripped.
"Oh my god, Serena what happened?" I ask rapidly. Serena threw the paper down and ran over to me and hugged me in a death grip.
" I thought you would never wake up!" she cried softly into my shoulder. After a few minutes of hugging she finally let go of me and wiped her tears away from her amber eyes. I look around me and see that everything is scattered all over the place. There are large cracks in the wall and some parts of the walls aren't even there. 
"Where exactly are we?" i ask in a quiet tone, afraid to disturb the building.
"I'm not so sure my self." She said while sniffling."I thought you were never going to wake up."
I look at her with questioning eyes.
"Oh, i should probably explain things." she said with a stone face. She led me over to a single chair backed up into a wall and sat me down. She then started explaining how she woke up from what she described as an "Ice-bed", Her encounter with a Lizard Bunny and how she was worried that i wasn't going to wake up. By the time she was finished explaining my mouth was hanging wide open. I can't believe it.
"How long have you been here and how did we end up in those.. things?" I question vehemently pointing to the ice beds. She sighed and paced in front of the chair, a habit that she does when she's nervous.
"I would say i have been here for about three days and as for getting here, i have no idea." she said finally stopping her pacing. Just then, my stomach made a loud grumbling noise.
" Your probably hungry." she said with a smirk on her face. She quickly went over to an ice-bed and grabbed a box from inside of it. She walked back to me and handed me the mysterious box.
" It has some edible stuff in there, so eat up." She says while picking up a pair of dirty white sneakers. I reach my hand into the box and grab something out randomly. It looked like the half of a granola bar. I looked at it with a grimace but started eating it. After i was done eating it Serena walked up to me, the white sneakers now on her feet.
"You ready?" she asked.
" For what?"
"To go scavenging for supplies." She said in a slightly bored voice. I look at her with surprise. after she told me the Lizard-Bunny incident i really don't want to leave this room.
" Uhhh..." I trailed off. She rolled her eyes at me and started for the door.
"If you want to be here by yourself, be my guest." Serena said while grabbing a brown pack by the door.Damn her for knowing my weaknesses! I absolutely hate being alone, especially in a terrifying place like this. I quickly got up and ran over to her.
"Scaredy cat." she whispered under her breath as she opened the heavy metal door. I stuck my tongue out at her and followed her closely as she started to make her way down a cracked and moldy hallway. I kept jumping at every sound while Serena was calm and kept walking. She stopped suddenly, which made me bump into her back slightly. 
"Shhhh." She whispered, putting her finger to her lips. She backed away slowly.
"What's wrong?" I whisper back. She pointed to an animal like thing in front of her. It had the head of what seemed like an insect of some sort and a body cross between an Alligator and a deer with purplish grey skin. I covered my mouth to hold in a scream and a gag at the same time. What in the name of hell was this creature?! Serena slowly and quietly grabbed my arm and was pulling me to the nearest door. As we got closer the thing looked at us and screeched. I froze in place but Serena pulled me over to the door as fast and hard she could and opened it. It was barreling at us now, looking hungry. Just as Serena closed the door, the thing smashed into it. It kept banging on the door for a minute, then it abruptly stopped. Serena looked under the door for any sign of the creature. I hurried into a corner of the small dark closet like room and threw up. What was that hideous Thing? Every time I picture it I feel like I'm going to vomit.
"What was that thing?" i manage to get out.
"I call it a Lhen, it's been here ever since I woke up, it's kind of annoying." Serena says with a straight face. How can she be so cool with this?!
"Where are we?" I ask searching for her in the total darkness. I heard a clicking noise and the room was suddenly filled with light. I shaded my eyes for a second and then looked around me. There were boxes everywhere.Serena started to take a box down from a huge stack.
"What size shirt do you wear, I keep forgetting." Serena said with a touch of amusement in her voice. I thought for a moment then suddenly remembered.
"Size five. Why?" She threw me a light green shirt with pants to go along with it.
"Put these on, the night gown your wearing is probably not the safest thing to wear." She says handing me a pair of dirty white sneakers.
