I walked onto the stairs leading to the doorway, buzzing with excitement.

Noella gave me a suspicious look, "Why are you so happy?"

"What, am I not allowed to be happy?"

"Hm. No, it ruins my depressing vibe."

There was a pause before I spoke. "That's lovely..." She nodded and quietly chuckled.

Although I wouldn't admit it, I am excited to see the new vandalism by Michael Clifford.

When we walked through the door I wasn't disappointed.

Sprayed on the walls were: Turn a page, I'm a book half unread

I internally smiled widely. I tightened my lips smack together so I wouldn't smile. But I was currently replaying that lyric in my head remembering the music along with it.

I looked up just to be bumped into someone. I looked up to say sorry until I saw who it was. And oh God, did I want to cower into a ball underneath a staircase.

Cold blue eyes. Luke Hemmings. But right over his shoulder I could see my father briskly walking into the hall.

I had to choose. Scary long-legged giraffe of a boy, or father daughter moment with awkward and exposing myself as his daughter to the entire school.

I would very well regret this, I knew. I quickly put my hands on Luke's shoulders and spun him around to face my dad as I hid behind him.

He started to say, "Don't touch-"

"Shut up for a second." I hissed.

My dad stormed up to Michael who looked smug, and pulled him out of the hallway.

Luke instantly spun around and raised an eyebrow, "What? Scared of the ol' principle?"

I ignored his question, "No. But I'm sorry for using you to hide but I can't be exposed, crap I mean because he might give detention-and Uh I gotta go!" I rushed to Noella and pulled her out of the hallway.

Leaving poor Luke with a confused expression.
